Summary

This silent meditation retreat at Alpen Retreat invites you to step away from everyday life for four or five days and immerse yourself in the depths of silence. The protected atmosphere of the mountains creates a space where words fade into the background and inner awareness comes to the fore.

Through sitting and walking meditation, mindful body practice, breathing exercises, and conscious periods of silence, the mind becomes calmer and clearer. Silence is not a retreat from the world, but a turning toward what is alive within. Thoughts are allowed to slow down, the nervous system can regulate itself, and presence arises naturally.

The clearly structured daily routine offers support and orientation, while leaving sufficient space for rest, integration, and nature. The alpine environment supports the process of letting go and arriving, making this retreat a deeply nourishing experience in both its shorter and longer versions.

This retreat is aimed at people who want to experience silence as a path to self-awareness and who long for inner peace, clarity, and conscious focus. Meditation experience is helpful but not essential—the decisive factor is a willingness to engage with silence. Who will accompany you on the retreat: Wolfgang accompanies people on their inner journey.
His work is characterized by mindfulness, clarity, and a deep rooting in meditative practice. With a calm presence, he combines meditation, yoga, and introspection into a holistic space of experience that enables silence, awareness, and genuine arrival. Wolfgang creates a safe, structured framework in which inner peace can unfold and the present moment can be felt again.

Accommodation

Accommodation – Details & Specifications The accommodation at AlpenRetreat is a lovingly restored house over 500 years old, located in the Tyrolean mountains near Nassereith in the Fern Pass area. The house combines traditional Tyrolean style with cozy, mindfully designed furnishings and is specially designed for guests seeking peace, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga.

Rooms & Facilities The rooms are deliberately simple and natural in design, with wooden elements and warm colors, so that you can concentrate fully on your practice and relaxation. Some rooms have a balcony or terrace with views of the surrounding nature. Accommodation is in shared twin rooms. Rooms are occupied by people of the same sex, and each person has their own bed.
Single rooms are available for an additional charge of €25 per night, subject to availability. The house also has various communal areas, including a terrace, a garden, a library, and the spacious yoga hall at the heart of the retreat – spaces for meeting, retreating, and quiet reflection.

Atmosphere & use The AlpenRetreat is not a classic hotel, but a retreat accommodation where accommodation and courses or programs are closely linked. Many offers include both accommodation and yoga and meditation programs. Guests particularly appreciate the familiar, quiet, and mindful atmosphere, which is ideal for inner peace, meditation, and self-reflection.

Catering

At AlpenRetreat, healthy daily meals are part of many retreat programs. The food is vegetarian and can also be vegan upon request. However, lactose-free and gluten-free options are also available.
All meals are usually included in the price of the retreat programs. These meals are balanced and support the mindful practice of yoga, meditation, and inner peace during your stay. In addition, it is customary to eat meals together, which contributes to the atmosphere of mindfulness, connection, and exchange.

The retreat was truly wonderful. The house has a cozy atmosphere, and we were warmly welcomed. The surroundings right at the Zugspitzpass are very beautiful and invite you to hike directly from the house. The food was fresh, delicious, diverse, and prepared with love. The most important thing, however, is that Wolfgang designed the retreat wonderfully. A good mix of introduction and practice, very good guidance, very authentic and on an equal level. I felt very well taken care of and would love to come back!
