Solo retreat "Relaxation and well-being days"
Aljezur, Portugal
$796 / 3 Days
This 11-day journey takes you from the bustling streets of Marrakech, through the majestic High Atlas Mountains and the fertile Drâa Valley, to the endless expanse of the Sahara.
Together with Sahraoui nomads, you’ll hike through the desert, sleep under the starry sky in your own tent, and experience a world where time flows more slowly and what truly matters becomes tangible once again.
Daily sessions of dance, yoga, qigong, and body awareness accompany the journey, creating space for vitality, inner peace, and new clarity. The vastness of the landscape, encounters with the people of the desert, and the simple rhythms of caravan life invite you to step away from everyday life and reconnect with yourself.
Along the way, you’ll find carefully selected Moroccan-style accommodations, traditional kasbahs, and the fascinating landscapes of southern Morocco. In the kasbahs, we immerse ourselves in the authentic atmosphere of Morocco and experience the special hospitality and culture of this unique region.
During the day, the silence of the desert accompanies us. In the evening, its vitality awakens as the drums begin to speak, the fire crackles, and the stars rise above the caravan.
“Longing for Origins” combines adventure, encounters, movement, and silence into a journey that leaves a lasting impression.

Food is a very important part of this culture. Together, we sample and enjoy traditional dishes such as aromatic tagines, couscous, fresh salads, seasonal fruit, and many other specialties of Moroccan cuisine.
A special experience is the group cooking class in the desert, where we learn the subtle secrets of traditional recipes.
Meals are more than just sustenance. They are moments of connection, exchange, and enjoyment—under the open sky, around the campfire, and in the circle of the community.
Vegetarian meals are available throughout the entire trip. Special dietary requests can be accommodated upon prior arrangement.
You might be wondering why you don’t see a detailed daily or hourly schedule here.
That’s by design! It’s an invitation for you to let go of control and open yourself up to the unexpected.
We’re not checking items off a bucket list; we’re stepping into a space of experience.
Feeling secure enough without knowing the exact path opens the door to adventure. Where you can’t plan everything in advance, surprises await. Because, just like in life, not everything can be planned, and the best moments are usually unplanned anyway.
The desert teaches us to be present, to trust the moment, and to reconnect with our natural vitality. That is where the magic of life arises.
Of course, there is a clear framework and careful organization on our part. But the desert leads the way! We surrender to it and open ourselves to whatever wishes to reveal itself.
Together with my experienced Sahara team, I will guide you through this journey. You don’t have to plan anything or control anything. You are free to arrive, let go, and let yourself be carried.
Those who are ready to embrace this often discover the greatest freedom, joy, and vitality right there.
Perhaps that is the greatest gift of this journey: to encounter life with new trust and devotion and to let its magic surprise you.
What to expect on this journey
Our journey begins in Marrakech and takes us through the High Atlas, Ouarzazate, and the Drâa Valley to the edge of the Sahara.
The heart of the journey is our five-day caravan trek through the desert.
Together with the nomads, we spend several hours each day traveling on foot and by dromedary.
In between, there is time to rest, enjoy, marvel, and immerse ourselves in the world of the desert.
The journey is accompanied by dance, yoga, qigong, meditation, and exercises for greater body awareness.
Look forward to inspiring women’s circles, shared conversations, drum rhythms around the campfire, free dance evenings under the starry sky, a cooking class in the desert, and touching encounters with the Sahrawi nomads.
You’ll gain insights into their way of life, their wisdom, their ability to make the best of every situation, and their deep connection to life.
After our time in the desert, oases, a traditional kasbah, a visit to a hammam, and Marrakech with its colors, scents, and unique atmosphere await us.
This journey thrives not on the abundance of activities, but on the depth of the experiences. It gives you time to settle in, take a deep breath, and rediscover your own vitality.

For me, the desert is far more than just a destination. For over 30 years, I have been drawn time and again to this place of vastness, silence, and authenticity.
As a dancer, mentor, and guide for personal development, I combine movement, body awareness, and inner growth with the unique experiences of this journey.
Together with my experienced Sahara team, with whom I share a deep and long-standing friendship, I will guide you through this adventure with care and a lot of heart.
This is another thing that makes this journey so special: You’re not traveling with strangers, but for a time you become part of a community characterized by trust, warmth, and genuine connection.
Many women later describe it as a journey among friends.
