3.5-day intensive goldsmithing / silversmithing course in Tuscany, accommodation possible on site

The studio is located in the cantina + terrazza of a rustic house from Dante's time with a view over the green hills and foothills of the Lunigiana. The nearest village is in the valley (approx. 30 min walk), so we will concentrate on creative work on site without distraction...

Simple rooms and beds are available in my family's house for a flat-rate expense allowance of € 230 including full board. If you have higher demands and are traveling by car, we recommend renting a hotel room, B&B or vacation home in the area. I will be happy to help you with the arrangement.

The house is surrounded by nature with many animals (porcupines, wild boars, deer and unfortunately also spiders and insects such as mosquitoes and wasps ecc. My 2 cats live with me in the house, but are also outside a lot, so far there have been no problems with allergy sufferers, as we work outside a lot. To be on the safe side, however, allergy sufferers should bring their small "emergency pharmacy" with them. Bringing your own pets is allowed, so far my cats have made friends with all the dogs and there is also enough space for the four-legged friends to get out of each other's way...

During the workshop, we are like a family. Meals are provided for a flat-rate contribution towards expenses: the workshop participants prepare their own breakfast in the communal kitchen, I cook for lunch and in the evening there is a merenda with salad and Italian delicacies.... Special eating habits / sensitivities should be discussed in advance if possible.

Arrival the evening before from 6 p.m., dinner together, getting to know each other and discussing your ideas (the latter can also be done in advance by telephone)

3 course days: 10:30 - 14:00 and 15:30 - 19:00, i.e. 7 hours of creative work per day, from the production of the material to the completion of the piece of jewelry

On the day of departure, the workshop is still available from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. For some projects, this reserve time is absolutely necessary to bring the project to a safe result, or there is time for a cozy end during a small festive final presentation: In any case, the works will be examined and photographed again in daylight.
I will then be happy to drive you to Aulla station from 1 pm.

it is worth planning a few days at the seaside (e.g. Lerici, Tellaro, 5-Terre, Portovenere, Levanto) or in the beautiful cities such as Parma, Lucca, Pisa, Firenze, Genoa ecc...) before or after the course...

As the house is also used privately, you will be given the exact address when you book. There is a direct train connection from Pisa airport to Aulla, where I will pick you up from the station. For those arriving by car:
I will give you the directions from the highway exit Aulla before the trip, as the postal address is incorrectly located on the navigation system. A narrow winding road leads to our house. Parking is only available in the forest at the roadside, please assess the risk of possible storm damage yourself and secure it if necessary, the brand new company car may not really be suitable...
