Eating During the Buchinger Fast – Conscious Abstinence as a Source of New Energy

The Buchinger Fast is a proven method of therapeutic fasting in which abstinence is experienced not as deprivation, but as a soothing relief for the body and mind. The goal is not traditional food intake, but rather the activation of the body’s self-healing powers, the promotion of inner balance, and a conscious focus on oneself.

During the fasting period, you do not consume any solid food. Instead, the body is gently nourished with clear liquids, valuable minerals, and soothing warmth.

This minimalist yet targeted nourishment supports the body’s natural cleansing and regeneration. At the same time, enough energy remains for movement, mindfulness, and light activities.

Fasting according to Buchinger is far more than mere abstinence—it is a mindful process of letting go that creates space for new clarity, vitality, and lightness.
