Twelve beds, a rooftop deck facing the Atlantic, and Anchor Point two minutes down the road. That's the whole retreat. Nobody moves between towns mid-week — you unpack once and we bring the surf to you.
The day starts with breakfast and a look at the swell. Then we drive out to whichever break actually suits the morning and your level: the forgiving beach break if you're still finding your feet, the points if you're ready for them. Never more than six guests per coach, and first-timers and returning surfers run in separate groups — so nobody is held back and nobody is dragged somewhere they're not ready for. Back for lunch. A second session for whoever wants one. Yoga on the roof as the sun goes down, built around what six days of paddling does to your shoulders rather than around anyone's flexibility. Dinner together after dark, everyone salt-stained and loudly retelling the same wave.
Between all that, the day is yours. Taghazout is small enough to walk end to end in twenty minutes, and the deck is a reasonable place to do nothing.
The house is loud at dinner and quiet by eleven. Most people arrive on their own and leave in a WhatsApp group.
You go home standing up, or riding the points, or simply knowing what to work on next. And some weeks the Atlantic doesn't deliver — we say so upfront, and make the rest of the week count.
We're happy to accommodate your specific dietary needs. Just let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Day 1 — Arrival
We’ll pick you up at the Agadir airport; 45 minutes later, you’ll be at the house. Rooms are available starting at 2:00 p.m.; later flights are no problem—just let us know, and someone will be there to meet you. We’ll fit you with a board and wetsuit, head down to the point to see what you’re getting into, and then have dinner together on the rooftop.
Day 2 — First Time Out
Breakfast, then the first session—and this is where the group splits up. Absolute beginners head to the gentle beach break; those getting back into it go wherever the wave conditions allow. Six guests per coach, never more. Back for lunch, an optional second session, yoga on the rooftop at sunset, and dinner after dark.
Day 3 — The Day It All Clicks
Morning session, lunch, and a second session for anyone who wants it—the spot is decided in the morning, not a week in advance. This is usually the day when the takeoff stops being something you have to think about. And the day your arms tell you what you’re actually doing out there—that’s exactly what the evening yoga is for.
Day 4 — Reading the water, not just catching waves
Same rhythm, different coaching. Once you’re standing, the focus shifts: where you position yourself, which wave you let go of, and how you read what the ocean is building. Two sessions, if the waves are worth it—the rest of the day is yours. You can walk across Taghazout in twenty minutes.
Day 5 — A Day Inland
A long day away from the water, usually scheduled for the day with the weakest forecast so it doesn’t cost you any waves. A village cooperative where argan oil is still pressed by hand, then Paradise Valley—a palm-lined gorge in the mountains with river pools, and, for once, fresh water instead of salt water. On the way back via Agadir to Souk El Had, one of the country’s largest markets and the place to find everything you’ll take home. Back late—dinner is waiting.
Day 6 — The Spots
By now you’re in good enough shape to handle longer waves, so this is usually the day we go looking for them. Anchor Point, if it’s working, or one of the twelve other spots nearby if it isn’t. Two sessions for anyone still up for it, followed by yoga—your shoulders will definitely have something to say about that.
Day 7 — Last Full Day
The spot you’ve gotten along with best this week—twice, if you want. This is usually where the best surfing of the week happens—six days of paddling have paid off, and you’ll feel it. Yoga on the roof as the sun sets, followed by the final dinner, which always runs late.
Day 8 — Departure
Breakfast, check-out at 11 a.m., and we’ll drive you back to Agadir for your flight. If your flight leaves late: leave your bag at the house and head out one more time. That’s what most people do.
