Your day begins with “Energy Yoga.” The morning yoga class includes gentle and invigorating karanas (sequences of movements) that help you find a flow at your own pace—and then transitions into a powerful yet effortless holding of the asanas.
Pranayama, specific breathing techniques, refines your mindfulness and awareness. This leads to a gradual settling into stillness, guided by practical insights from yoga philosophy toward meditation.
Yoga of Energy means observing and perceiving the body, sensations, and breath—directing energy. Where attention is, energy flows.
“There is a world of difference between a mechanically performed movement and the same movement that has become fully conscious.”
Roger Clerc, founder of Yoga of Energy
The afternoon program begins with an hour of Pilates training.
Through the targeted combination of strength and stretching exercises, the Pilates training program primarily targets your abdominal and back muscles as well as the segmental mobility of your spine. The Pilates exercises help you develop a strong core, increase muscle elasticity, and improve your posture.
If you have problems with joints and intervertebral discs, you will find Pilates to be an optimal and gentle form of exercise. Precise movement instructions and variations in difficulty allow all participants to find exercises suitable for their level of ability. Your program leader, Sabine, designs the Pilates exercises using balls or Thera-Bands to make them both intense and varied.
What makes Pilates special:
- Effective and targeted strengthening of the deep muscles
- Relaxed shoulders through optimization of scapular position
- Toning of the abdomen and waist
- Reduction of posture-related tension headaches
- Segmental (section-by-section) mobilization of the spine
- Targeting the fascia
- Improved posture
- Harmonization of neuromuscular imbalances
- Overall increase in flexibility and mobility
Following the Pilates session, there is a relaxation segment featuring Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, or meditation—let yourself be surprised.
