A creative retreat on the island of Corfu:
Awakening Colours combines free painting and time for yourself into a soothing week filled with tranquility, color, and creative vitality.
In a mindful atmosphere, you’ll find space to pause, let go, and engage in free artistic expression—without any pressure to perform or prior experience required.
In the spacious studio, you are free to express yourself with colors—without expectations or judgment, simply as it flows from within you. Acrylic, mixed media, intuitive painting—anything is welcome.
Half the day is yours to do as you please: relax, feel, go for a walk, swim in the sea, explore the island, or simply rest.
The goal:
A week in which you recharge, reconnect with yourself, and discover or deepen your joy in creative expression.
Let your colors awaken—and with them, your vitality.
What to expect:
- A well-equipped painting studio with a variety of materials for acrylic and mixed-media projects during the painting sessions
- Freedom: you can express yourself freely and without constraints through color
- Half the day is free, so you can reflect and enjoy the area
- Optional: morning meditation upon request
Each day, you can expect about three to four hours of activities, including reflection and, of course, creative expression through painting and color.
Say YES to your retreat on the beautiful island of Corfu—a week in which you’ll rediscover your inner vitality through painting and self-expression. Awakening Colours invites you to unfold, explore, and experiment with your creativity—full of joy, lightness, and color.
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothing
In the northwest of the beautiful, green island of Corfu, about an hour’s drive from the island’s airport, lies the village of Agios Stefanos Avlioton.
Here you’ll find everything you need: a good selection of taverns, restaurants, bars, and cafés; a long sandy beach; apartment buildings; small hotel complexes; and supermarkets where you can stock up on essentials.
My bright, well-equipped studio is centrally located on the main street. From here, you can reach the beach in just under 5 minutes on foot.
In your free time, you can explore the area on foot; for example, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the small harbor or to the tip of the headland, where you’ll have breathtaking views back toward Agios Stefanos and into the neighboring bay of Arillas. In town, you can also rent bicycles, e-bikes, and more.
Our week takes place during the first week of May, the first week of the season. The island of Corfu is still particularly fresh and green at this time, with many plants in bloom and the atmosphere still peaceful—ideal for a meditative and creative retreat.
Not all local establishments may be open yet, but there is certainly plenty of choice
Inside the studio, there is an art exhibition, creating a particularly inspiring, artistic atmosphere. We will paint, create, and express ourselves at the large central table. The restroom is accessible via three steps. There are two parking spaces in front of the studio, and the studio is equipped with air conditioning for hot days.
The studio is not wheelchair accessible.
There will definitely be some walking involved between your chosen accommodation and the studio.
