For anyone who has limited time but is still seeking true relaxation—both physical and mental.
Sanasuma Ayurveda Homestay is not a retreat hotel, but a private home on the south coast of Sri Lanka—deliberately limited to just three guest rooms. This is by design: it ensures your stay remains personal rather than anonymous.
For 7 days, you’ll receive Ayurvedic wellness treatments at our long-standing partner, the Aromin Ayurveda Center, with certified doctors and experienced therapists, plus daily yoga and meditation, full board tailored to your dosha, and personalized life coaching.
Unlike the 14-day Panchakarma regimen, the focus here is on relaxation rather than complete detoxification—a true Panchakarma cleanse takes more time. Nevertheless, the same principle applies here: You’re not just taking care of your body; you’re also bringing peace to your mind. Your host, LaLa, will accompany you to your initial consultation, translate for you, and explain exactly what’s happening and why.
Add to that a large tropical garden, 10 rescued cats, and 2 dogs, all of which contribute to the deep relaxation of your nervous system.
The most important facts in a nutshell:
Initial consultation with a certified Ayurvedic physician at the Aromin Ayurveda Center
Personal support and translation during the initial consultation by LaLa (including notes for you)
7 daily Ayurvedic wellness treatments (approx. 1.5–2 hours) provided by experienced therapists at the Aromin Ayurveda Center
Daily yoga and meditation sessions at Sanasuma Ayurveda Homestay
A 1:1 coaching session at the beginning to set your intention, plus additional coaching sessions throughout the week

Kein Resort. Ein echtes Zuhause – das man sofort spürt.

BookThe meals at Sanasuma Ayurveda Homestay follow the principles of Ayurveda: freshly cooked, natural, and tailored to your individual dosha. Three meals a day—a nutrient-rich breakfast, a hearty main meal at noon when the digestive fire (Agni) is at its strongest, and a light, easily digestible dinner. All six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, astringent) are included to ensure the body receives optimal nourishment. No coffee, no alcohol—instead, herbal teas and freshly squeezed juices are available throughout the day.
A typical day at Sanasuma Ayurveda Homestay follows a set, soothing routine:
7:00 – 8:00 a.m.: Yoga & Meditation
8:00 – 9:00 a.m.: Breakfast – muesli and tropical fruits
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Ayurvedic wellness treatment at the Aromin Ayurveda Center
1:30 p.m.: Lunch – rice and curry, prepared according to your dosha
Afternoon: Time for rest, gardening, reading, painting (if desired), or excursions (temples, Weligama Bay, Jungle Beach)—plus coaching sessions throughout the week
7:00 PM: Light dinner—nourishing soup
9:00 p.m.: Bedtime
In addition: an initial consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor on the first day and one-on-one coaching to set intentions. Plus, a final reflection session on your time with us.
Travel to the retreat is not included in the price.
The nearest international airport is Colombo (Bandaranaike International Airport, CMB); from there, it’s about a 2.5–3-hour drive to Weligama.
Important note: Even for a shorter stay, we recommend taking a tour of Sri Lanka before the retreat—not after. This way, you’ll truly be able to unwind instead of hitting the road again right away.
We’d be happy to arrange the following for you:
A driver to pick you up directly from the airport
A customized tour before the retreat begins
