BookAll meals at the Mountain Retreat Center are vegetarian and vegan. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day—at least according to the Chinese. That’s why we also place special emphasis on a good, healthy breakfast—always featuring warm porridge. For lunch, you’ll enjoy soup, bread, and spreads, and in the evening, you’ll be treated to a delicious buffet featuring salad, creative vegetarian and vegan main courses, and dessert. Everything is freshly prepared and, whenever possible, made with seasonal ingredients. We can accommodate food intolerances with advance notice.
This retreat is designed for people who wish to connect with themselves in an authentic way and are ready to consciously engage their body, breath, and inner experience. The days follow a clear, soothing structure that fosters depth while leaving ample space for rest and integration. The focus is on creating a safe environment that supports slowness, presence, and mindful exploration.
The day begins with an extended morning yoga practice. Through conscious movement, mobilization, strengthening, and stretching, stability is created in the body and clarity in the mind. The sessions are structured so that you can ground yourself in your own body step by step and develop a solid foundation for the day.
The subsequent breathwork sessions open up a space for deeper experience. With the help of connected breath, inner processes become accessible that may reveal themselves beyond words. Emotions, sensations, and inner images can emerge and find their place—always at your own pace and supported by clear, mindful guidance. The breathwork helps to release blockages and gain new perspectives on your own experience.
Between the group sessions, time is intentionally set aside for integration. Guided journaling prompts or somatic movement exercises help you reflect on your experiences and anchor them in your body. In addition, there is ample space for retreat, silence, or a walk around the house. This alternation between guided depth and free space creates a natural rhythm that has a lasting effect.
In the evening, the pace of the day slows down once again. Calm practice formats such as Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, or group singing invite you to calm the nervous system and consciously bring the day to a close. The focus is on relaxation, regulation, and a sense of inner connection. The daily schedule serves as a guide and is flexibly adapted to group dynamics, energy levels, and external conditions.
