Simple single room with shower/WC in the monastery gatehouse, beautiful baroque and medicinal plant garden. An ideal place to paint and draw outside. We use the Anna Chapel as our studio, a modern unseated chapel that provides us with plenty of space and light for intensive work. The baroque monastery garden was reconstructed from 2010 to 2011 based on old drawings. The clear paths, the restrained planting and the central fountain reflect the Cistercian striving for simplicity. With its many benches, the garden invites visitors to paint, draw, relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Meatless meals on Wednesday and Friday. Vegetarian and vegan dishes possible, please specify when registering.

The Marienstatter Brauhaus brewery right next to the monastery serves freshly tapped home-brewed beer and hearty dishes from regional cuisine.

Every day there will be small exercises and some theory lessons on portraits, perspective, composition and colors. You will work on your own ideas, templates and concepts, and I will provide you with individual support in all artistic matters. All techniques are possible, you must bring your own materials. Beginners are very welcome.
As a graphic designer, trainer and coach, I teach creative work to people of all ages in groups of 5 to 25 participants. As an artist, I work on commissions, tenders and exhibitions.
