Start your day with a heartwarming breakfast featuring breads, jams, cheese, freshly made porridge, fruit, a variety of milk options, yogurt, fruit juices, spreads, coffee, and a selection of teas. At 2:00 p.m., we serve a light lunch featuring a warming soup along with spreads served with bread or pastries.
This retreat with Patricia Del Mar invites you to rediscover your own body and experience movement without the pressure to perform. The focus is on the joy of music, free dancing, and mindfully experiencing the moment. Wild and powerful, calm and flowing—every movement is allowed to find its own expression.
The group sessions begin with a quiet gathering in a circle. Through mindful awareness of the body and surroundings, we start the day with mindfulness. This is complemented by singing simple songs together, accompanied by guitar, clapping, or small percussion instruments. The focus is not on perfection, but on sharing the experience and enjoying sound and rhythm.
The subsequent warm-up incorporates elements from various dance traditions—ranging from Middle Eastern movements and African rhythms to salsa, bachata, and merengue. Playful prompts help loosen up the body and get it moving.
The focus is on free dancing to a variety of music from around the world. Inspired by expressive dance and the 5 Rhythms, movements emerge individually, in pairs, or in groups—sometimes dynamic and energetic, sometimes calm and gentle. The natural surroundings of the Kleebauer Hof are intentionally incorporated into the experience: meadows, forests, and sweeping views create an atmospheric setting for movement and connection.
The sessions are rounded off with group circle dances that allow participants to calmly reflect on the experience. Between program activities, there’s time for walks, relaxation by the natural swimming pond, or cozy moments at the retreat center. The Kleebauer Hof’s vegetarian and vegan cuisine accompanies the week with mindfully prepared meals, ensuring culinary well-being as well.
No prior experience is necessary—the focus is on the joy of being together and the openness to discover new things.

A typical program session includes:
- Gathering in a circle and mindful body awareness

Program Schedule:
The program begins with the first session at 4:00 p.m. and ends on the last day after breakfast and a morning session. In between, there are two 2-hour sessions each day.

From Passau: via Oberkappel or Engelhartszell to Altenfelden
By Train and Bus
Take the train to Linz Central Station; from there, there are regular bus connections to Altenfelden. Pickup from the “Altenfelden Ort” bus stop is included at fixed times:
Pickup from the bus: 2:08 p.m. and 3:08 p.m. (Registration required at least 24 hours before arrival)
Transfer to the bus: 9:50 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.
