"Gateless Writing" Writing Retreat in Vienna

With “Gateless Writing,” we tap into our creative potential in a safe space: We write using all our senses, inspired by writing prompts and without fear of criticism.

From Friday through Sunday, we’ll enjoy the flow of writing in an urban setting right in the heart of Vienna. In several guided writing sessions, “Gateless Writing” helps you awaken the stories that lie dormant within you. I’ll set the tone with a creative writing prompt before you dive into a short creative writing session.

Afterward, you’re welcome to read your text aloud to the group and receive supportive feedback. Between the group sessions on Saturday, you’ll have free writing time.

You don’t need any prior experience for “Gateless Writing.” Whether you’ve been writing for a while or are just starting out: During the writing weekend, we’ll meet on equal footing.

For the group writing sessions, you’ll need a notebook and a pen that writes well for you. If you’d like to use your laptop from time to time, feel free to bring it along.
