This secluded square-shaped farmstead, with views over the rolling hills of the Mühlviertel region, offers the perfect setting for a rejuvenating getaway. Try something new, clear your mind, and find inspiration for change. You’ll find peace and quiet by the natural swimming pond, in the forests, and amidst the vast, gently rolling landscape. Enjoy moments of relaxation in the sauna scented with Swiss stone pine and, in the evening, in a cozy gathering around the fire pit.
At the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center, you can enjoy modern vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Start your day with a hearty breakfast featuring breads, jams, cheese, freshly made porridge, fruit, a variety of milk options, yogurt, fruit juices, spreads, coffee, and a selection of teas. At 2 p.m., we serve a light lunch featuring a warming soup along with spreads served with bread or pastries.
Step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and into the stillness that holds a special source of strength. Activate your Qi—your life force—and immerse yourself in the rhythm of slowness. Start your day with daily exercises that, in China, are used to strengthen muscles, stretch the meridians, and generally promote flexibility. Qi Gong practice combines slow, flowing movements with deep breathing. Feel yourself becoming calmer and more at ease with every breath. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a Japanese method for activating self-healing powers. By placing your hands on specific points on your body, you get your energy flowing. Techniques for letting go, self-massage, and acupressure round out the retreat. The exercises are simple and suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners—you’ll learn how to integrate them into your daily life and use them to take a brief break even in stressful situations.
Program Overview The program begins on the first day at 4:00 p.m. with an afternoon session and ends on the last day after the morning session and a group breakfast. In between, there are two sessions daily, each lasting two hours.
By car: From Linz: via Ottensheim on the Rohrbach federal highway to Altenfelden From Passau: via Oberkappel or Engelhartszell to Altenfelden
By train and bus: Take the train to Linz Hauptbahnhof; from there, there are regular bus connections to Altenfelden. Pickup from the Altenfelden Ort bus stop is included at fixed times: Bus pickup: 2:08 PM and 3:08 PM (registration required at least 24 hours before arrival)
Transfer to the bus: 9:50 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. These are approximate times.
