Enameling- The color from the fire
In this workshop, Nicole Beck will teach us the traditional technique of enameling on metal. After a short theoretical introduction, we will first create small color samples on copper plates to get to know the technical approach. We will quickly switch to a free and informal approach to powder enameling and develop small pieces of work/jewellery. Through the experimental process, many exciting possibilities and own ideas are stimulated and openly realized. The playful use of different enamel colors, fusible materials, folding and creasing of the base material metal and drawing on enamel opens up a playground for creativity. The format refers to simple jewelry shapes and smaller objects. Silver sheet and wire can be purchased during the course if required.

Material costs of €30 per person are payable separately.

Accommodation

There are a total of 12 guest rooms with double beds at the WERKGUT and in the new studio house. The rooms are individually, brightly and Scandinavian furnished. Most rooms share a bathroom for two or three people. However, two rooms have their own bathroom, which we can reserve on request. Rooms can also be booked for two people. You are also welcome to stay longer at the WERKGUT and eat in one of our self-catering kitchens after the workshop.

Catering

We offer full vegetarian catering for the workshops. This consists of a breakfast buffet (only for overnight stays), hot lunch, cake and fruit as a snack, rounded off by a hot evening meal with dessert. We also serve bread, salad, a cheese platter and a selection of wines. All drinks are included.
We are happy to cater for intolerances and special diets.
We mainly use seasonal and certified organic products.

Arrival on Friday from 09:00
On Friday we start at 10 a.m. with an introductory coffee and an introduction to the topic. Afterwards we will only be interrupted by delicious food and nice conversations until Sunday afternoon around 14:00. Overnight stay possible.

You can reach the WERKGUT as follows:
Arrival by car: Via A7 exit Neumünster Mitte then on B430 to Aukrug and via Hennstedt to Meezen/ A23 exit Scheenefeldt via b430 to Hohenwestedt and via Grauel to Meezen.
Parking spaces are available, as well as charging facilities for electric cars.
Parking for other vehicles is possible.
Arrival by public transport: If you arrive by train, you can be picked up from Wrist or Hohenwestedt station.
Bus connection Hohenwstedt-Meezen-Wrist with bus route 6191.

Cancellation policy

Full refund up to 60 days before arrival.
If you cancel up to 20 days before arrival, you will receive a 50% refund of the booking price.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

It is a pity if a workshop place remains free although others would have liked to book. We therefore ask you to inform us in good time - preferably in writing - if you are unable to attend the workshop you have booked.

The following costs will be incurred in the event of a cancellation:

Up to 60 days before the workshop date there is no cancellation fee.
Up to 20 days before the start of the workshop, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. Thereafter, the full amount will be charged in the event of cancellation.
