This Advent weekend invites you to take a deep breath and come back to yourself. Away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas, we will create a creative, cozy setting in which you can get into conversation with yourself and other women through writing, reflection and creativity.
Together we will immerse ourselves in mindful journaling, biographical writing and creative vision work. You will design vision boards and collages for your new year, write Christmas texts, collect memories, discover new perspectives and find peace in Drübeck Monastery with its special Advent atmosphere.
A weekend that lightens, inspires, strengthens and carries you into your year 2027 with new clarity.

After many years of working in social education, I founded "SchreibKunstLiebe - einfach schreiben". Today, I support people in courses, workshops, coaching sessions and specialist editing. I also work as an author.
Drübeck Monastery is my favorite place. It's where I find the peace and inspiration I need to write and let go.

Catering

The monastery kitchen cooks with fresh, regional and natural ingredients. Varied and healthy dishes are offered every day. There are soups, a salad buffet, fruit, desserts and two main courses - one of which is vegetarian. In the morning there is a hearty breakfast with fresh fruit and monastery muesli, at lunchtime a buffet with starter soup, salads and main courses and in the evening a snack with a warm portion. The weekly menu includes two soups on Mondays, vegetarian dishes on Thursdays and traditional fish on Fridays.

Writing impulses and creative exercises await you at the retreat. The focus is on creative and biographical writing. We will be inspired by texts on Advent and Christmas. In the Christmassy atmosphere of Drübeck Monastery, there will be space for creativity and wishes for the future.

As a social and writing educator, I combine many years of experience in supporting people with my passion for creative expression. Trying out new techniques and opening up writing spaces in which potential becomes visible is work that is close to my heart.

Arrival

Drübeck Abbey is a former Benedictine abbey. The monastery gardens are part of the tourism project "Garden Dreams - Historical Parks in Saxony-Anhalt". It is located on the Romanesque Road between Wernigerode and Ilsenburg and can be reached by car via the A36 or by bus and train.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel up to 3 days before arrival, you will receive a 50% refund of the booking price.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

In the event of withdrawal by participants up to 14 days before the start of the seminar at the latest, a fee of € 20.00 will be charged.
If participants cancel up to 3 working days before the start of the seminar at the latest, 50% of the seminar fee is due.
If the participant withdraws less than 3 working days before the start of the seminar, 100% of the seminar fee shall be due.
The organizer may withdraw from the contract if the minimum number of participants is not reached or for other important reasons (e.g. illness, death in the family, etc.). In this case, participants will be refunded the full course fee. There are no further claims against the organizer in such cases.
