Meditation from the Buddhist tradition in Chiemgau

Retreat to the Mountain Retreat Center in the Chiemgau mountains. The Retreat Center has 20 rooms with views of the impressive natural landscape of the Alps. It can happen that you are amazed out of nowhere. Again and again. Each of our rooms is a special kind of retreat in its own right. Small, fine, cozy.

The full board at the Mountain Retreat Center is vegetarian and vegan. The most important meal of the day, at least according to the Chinese, is breakfast. That's why we also attach particular importance to a good, healthy breakfast - always including warm porridge. For lunch you enjoy soup, bread and spreads, and in the evening you are treated to a delicious buffet with salad, creative vegetarian-vegan main courses and a dessert. Always freshly cooked and as seasonal as possible. Intolerances can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Meditation teaches you to see things as they are. Meditation is a way of exploring your body, heart and mind. In this retreat, you will learn practical methods for integrating meditation into your everyday life. This will help you to focus your mind and train your mindfulness.

When we begin to see things as they really are, we recognize what causes suffering in our lives and what leads to happiness, joy and freedom.
If we decide to be happy and recognize the causes of happiness, happiness will arise - we will realize which parts of the mind lead to greater peace and which parts make us unhappy again and again. Our freedom lies in the wisdom of choice.
Buddhist teachings offer concepts that are more relevant than ever before. It can serve as an anchor in the challenges of everyday life.
Yoga exercises, embedded in the flow of the breath, provide movement, prepare the body and mind for meditation and facilitate centered, collected sitting.

The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the German Chiemgau region, on the border with Austria.

Arrival by car
Take the A8 highway (coming from Munich or Salzburg) and exit at Frasdorf in the direction of Aschau, from there it is a 15-minute drive to Sachrang.

Arrival by train
Take the train or bus to Aschau or Prien im Chiemgau. From there you can either take the bus (few connections) or a cab to Sachrang.
Cab fare from Aschau to the Mountain Retreat Center approx. € 35.
