BookAll meals at the Mountain Retreat Center are vegetarian and vegan. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day—at least according to the Chinese. That’s why we place special emphasis on a good, healthy breakfast—always featuring warm porridge. For lunch, you’ll enjoy soup, bread, and spreads, and in the evening, you’ll be treated to a delicious buffet featuring salad, creative vegetarian and vegan main courses, and dessert. Everything is freshly prepared and, whenever possible, made with seasonal ingredients. We can accommodate food intolerances with advance notice.
Immerse yourself in a world of mindfulness through daily yoga and meditation practice. The themes of each session are tailored to the various meridian pathways. Through long-held stretches that increase your body’s flexibility, harmonize your emotions, and calm your mind, Yin Yoga offers a holistic experience.
The morning sessions are gentle and precise. You move from Yang into Yin. Practice flowing sequences based on the 5 elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Complemented by Pranayama (breathing exercises), Yoga Nidra, and guided meditations. The afternoon sessions are dedicated to gentle yoga and Yin Yoga based on the 5 elements. Through conscious awareness of the body, we can come to understand that we are “merely” our bodies. Anatomically sound asanas and guided relaxation, invigorating breathing exercises, and the activation of the chakras bring us strength and a zest for life.
Through the practice of Yoga Nidra, our nervous system regenerates at the deepest level, and we find the alignment that leads us into the depths. We immerse ourselves in the silence where we can perceive the voice of our innermost wisdom. To help us feel the power of silence more clearly, we spend individual yoga sessions in silence.
The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the Chiemgau region of Germany, on the border with Austria.
Traveling by car
Take the A8 highway (coming from Munich or Salzburg) and exit at Frasdorf, then head toward Aschau; from there, it’s a 15-minute drive to Sachrang.
Traveling by train
Take the train or bus to Aschau or Prien im Chiemgau. From there, you can reach Sachrang either by bus (limited service) or by taxi.
Traveling by plane
The nearest airports are Munich or Salzburg: continue by train or bus.
