Summary

Nateea Yoga and Contes du Désert invite you to a unique, authentic nomadic experience—
a journey back to yourself, into the vastness of the desert, and into the depths of your feminine power.
Sahara Shakti is more than just a retreat.

It is a return to yourself—to the part of you that blossoms in the company of women, feels at home in your body, and flows in harmony with your natural feminine wisdom.

A nomadic journey to yourself
Embark on a genuine, authentic nomadic adventure and experience the Sahara as women have for centuries.
Simple, slow, mindful, and full of soul.
Leave the noise of the world behind—no emails, no phones, just you, the vastness of the desert, and the rhythm of your breath.
For three days, we’ll hike on foot through the golden dunes of the Sahara, guided by our Moroccan hosts, accompanied by your sunny yoga teacher, and a circle of like-minded women.
Together, we’ll discover the hidden wonders of the desert and the hidden treasures within ourselves.

To the rhythm of the desert, in the heart of womanhood
In the Sahara, women have always been the quiet heart of nomadic life.
They tended the fire, prepared nourishing meals, cared for the animals, and passed down songs, stories, and healing wisdom from generation to generation.
Much of what our male guides know about the land, its rhythms, and the art of survival originally comes from their mothers and grandmothers.
When we walk here as a circle of women, we connect to this lineage of strength, gentleness, and intuitive wisdom.
We honor the women who were here before us as we rediscover our own true nature.
Living Like Nomads
This journey is a genuine, authentic nomadic experience.
We sleep either under the endless starry sky or in tents on simple mattresses.
Our guides show us how to live and survive in the desert. They prepare simple yet delicious meals using ingredients that are easy to carry and in harmony with nature.
Their cooking is characterized by tradition, mindfulness, and the art of appreciating what truly matters.
Abbadin and his team provide shaded breaks during the hottest hours of the day, serve sweet mint tea, and guide us with love and experience through the ever-changing landscapes of the desert.
Our days begin with yoga at sunrise, followed by a simple breakfast,
and end with an evening practice as the sun sinks below the horizon.
We’ll share a walking meditation, exchange stories, or simply enjoy the silence, the soft crunch of the sand beneath our feet, and the vastness all around us.
With a little luck, we might even encounter desert animals such as wild camels, jackals, desert foxes, or ostriches.
A Journey to the Essence
These three days are an invitation to slow down, let go of what weighs you down, and reconnect with your true self.
A retreat to live in harmony with nature, ground yourself, breathe, and connect with wonderful, like-minded women.
An adventure for body, mind, and soul
and a reminder that everything you’re looking for is already within you.

Day 1: Arrival & Journey to the Desert
Welcome to Morocco!
Our journey begins in the vibrant city of Marrakech, where our group will be picked up in the morning and set off on a scenic drive to M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the gateway to the Sahara.
Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous and best-preserved examples of traditional adobe architecture. This ancient ksar enchants visitors with its winding alleys, intricately decorated kasbahs, and distinctive Berber patterns—a true paradise for photographers, art lovers, and movie fans (you might recognize it from *Gladiator*, *Game of Thrones*, or other films).
As the sun sets, we arrive in the M’Hamid Desert, where we’re welcomed with traditional music and Moroccan tea. Under the sparkling starry sky, a hearty dinner awaits us as we slowly get into the rhythm of the desert.

Day 2: Setting Out into the Sahara
We’ll start the day with an invigorating sunrise yoga session to ground ourselves and get in the right mindset for our journey.
After a hearty breakfast, our hike into the endless expanse of the Sahara begins. Around noon, we’ll take a break at Ras Nekhale, where we’ll rest in the shade and recharge our energy.
In the late afternoon, after about 5.5 hours of walking, we reach Dune Douib, our camp for the night. Here, a gentle Yin yoga session and a breathtaking sunset over the golden dunes await us.
The evening is ours for storytelling, singing, dancing, laughing, or simply being in quiet contemplation beneath the stars. A delicious dinner rounds out this magical day.

Day 3: Camels, Dunes & Connection
After a gentle morning yoga practice and breakfast, we set out to find our camels, which were allowed to graze freely overnight.
Our hike takes us through varied landscapes, from dunes to rocky plains to wild rocula fields. We stop for a picnic at Wad Naam and rest during the hot midday hours.
In the late afternoon, we reach the area around Erg Bertham, where we set up camp. After another soothing yoga session, we enjoy dinner and let the day come to a peaceful close.

Day 4: Final Leg & Return to M’Hamid
Our last full day in the desert begins with yoga and breakfast. Afterward, we break camp and set out from Erg Bertham to Mezouaria, our final stop before returning to M’Hamid.
There, a well-deserved lunch awaits us, along with time to relax and reflect, and one last, unforgettable sunset over the desert. We’ll spend the night once again under the starry sky at our desert base camp.

Day 5: Farewell to the Sahara – Return to Marrakesh
We start the day with one last morning yoga session and breakfast together. Afterward, we head back to Marrakesh, stopping along the way to enjoy lunch together.
In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marrakech and say our goodbyes, filled with gratitude and renewed energy. If your schedule allows, we recommend staying in the city for a few more days—explore the lively souks, treat yourself to a traditional hammam bath, and immerse yourself in Morocco’s fascinating culture.
Note: This is a sample itinerary. The exact schedule will be announced upon arrival.

We celebrate your spirit of adventure and look forward to sharing this unforgettable journey with you!
