UnderDogs Retreat
Sanilhac, France
$1,344 / 5 Days
Not another year that starts with resolutions.
Nine days in the desert. No cell service, no authority, no one who wants anything from you. You won’t come back feeling refreshed. You’ll come back with a clear mind.
9 days in Morocco, including 6 nights in the desert near M’hamid. No more than 12 people—women and men, beginners and experienced travelers, traveling alone, in pairs, or as a couple.
On January 1, you made that resolution again. By the second week of January, it’s usually over. Not with a bang. It just slips away, day by day.
That’s why this retreat doesn’t start with a resolution. It starts with the opposite: nine days during which nothing is demanded of you.
The journey has three parts:
Letting Go—In the desert, you leave all your roles behind. No parent, no boss, no one’s child. For many, the first two days are the most uncomfortable—and then it starts to fall away.
Finding—What remains is you. It doesn’t come as a grand revelation, but while walking, in the sand, in the middle of a sentence you didn’t even mean to say.
Claiming – Back home, where everyone is used to the old version of you. This part begins on the day of your return and is included in the price.
This is for you if…
– you want to step away from just “functioning”
– you’ve lost your way somewhere along the way
– you’re exhausted, even though “everything is actually fine”
– you want space without having to explain yourself
– you’re seeking clarity—not in your head, but within yourself
And definitely not if you just want a vacation without any inner work, are expecting a wellness hotel with a spa, or simply don’t have the capacity for yourself right now.
I’m Nadja. I’ve been leading these retreats since February 2024 and am right there with you the whole time. I won’t tell you what your path is. I’ll make sure you can be at peace with yourself—and I’ll stay right there with you when things get uncomfortable.
Call first, then book: Before you register, we’ll have a quick chat.

Kein WC, kein fliessend Wasser, kaum Empfang. Waschwasser gibt es, eine Dusche nicht. Wir zeigen dir am ersten Tag, wie es geht.
Faisal und sein Beduinen-Team von Magic of Desert bauen die Zelte auf, kochen und führen durch die Wüste.

BookFull board, Moroccan cuisine, freshly prepared, mostly vegetarian. In the evenings, meals cooked in a sand oven over a fire. Snacks on the go include nuts, mandarins, and dates.
Please mention any food intolerances during the introductory meeting, and we’ll take them into account once we’re there.
The day has a rhythm, not a schedule.
Sunrise: You wake up because it’s getting light. The coldest hour of the day. Tea by the fire; no one speaks.
In the morning: Yoga in the sand while the sun is still low in the sky. Then breakfast.
Trekking: Several hours of hiking, in silence. A break in the shade. Onward to the campsite.
In the afternoon: The Bedouins set up the tents. Arrival, water, feet up. Writing, conversation after the silence—sharing is optional.
Sunset: Together, we climb the highest dune. The moment when everyone falls silent, without anyone having to say a word.
By the fire: Food, drumming, rituals, conversations.
The night: In the tent or outside in the sand. The Milky Way stretches across the entire sky.
The schedule depends on the weather, the stage of the journey, and the group. Nothing is mandatory.
After the retreat: On the last day, you commit to one single thing—small enough to sustain you in your daily life. You take an object from the desert with you. Two “desert mentors” from the group will check in with you every two weeks. Four weeks after returning, we’ll all reconnect during a group call.
Prerequisites: average physical fitness, emotional and mental well-being. No yoga experience is necessary.
You’ll book your own flight to Marrakesh. You’ll be picked up at the airport—the driver’s sign will display the group name. Everything after that is taken care of.
You can offset the carbon footprint of your flight through atmosfair or myclimate.
