Two weeks to reconnect with yourself—find inner peace, come home to yourself, and simply be.
Experience has shown that our 14-day retreats are an excellent choice for most people who truly want to step away from their daily lives—yet still want to ease back into their old routines.
The retreats take place at “Little Paradise.” Little Paradise is a small, modern monastery as well as a meditation and retreat center near Hamburg.
The house is distinguished by its “paradisiacal” location with a lake view, which guests frequently mention.
Another highlight is our large meditation room, where we offer daily morning and evening group meditations.
The surroundings are characterized by numerous lakes, forests, fields, and meadows. Retreats with a strong focus on nature and extended forest walks are possible here.
In addition, the convenient location (25 minutes to Hamburg, 35 minutes to Lübeck or the Baltic Sea) is attractive to many guests.
This is an individual retreat. It is possible to book a room as a couple (or generally for two or three people sharing a room).
Other retreat guests will also be on site. It is up to the guests to decide to what extent they wish to remain completely on their own or come together for activities such as walks, cooking, conversations, or similar.
Competent retreat guidance is available upon request.
We suggest a daily schedule for our retreat guests that includes time each day for meditation or prayer, contemplation, walks in nature, reading, and brief conversations to share insights about their inner process. Guests are free to choose how closely they wish to follow this suggestion or to follow their own retreat rhythm or plan.
Included:
- Accommodation in a single room with shower
- Organic vegetarian (or vegan) meals from our communal kitchen (self-prepared)
- Group meditations
- Retreat guidance
The retreat is particularly suitable for people with some prior experience up to those with many years of experience.
For absolute beginners, we recommend retreats with a group program and more intensive guidance.
People of all religions and spiritual traditions, as well as atheists, are welcome here. The house itself is not affiliated with any religious denomination. We simply love a quiet life in nature, embedded in shared meditation, reflection, contemplation, and retreat.
Organic vegetarian (or vegan, or lactose-, gluten-, or sucrose-free) food from our communal kitchen for guests to prepare themselves.
We provide a wide variety of food items on the shelves in the kitchen. Each guest takes what they want and prepares their own meal on their own (or in a group, if they prefer).
There is also a shopping list available where guests can write down their requests (within reason).

All retreats are designed to create optimal conditions for individual retreat processes. This means that the schedule and content of the retreat are ultimately your responsibility. However, we provide the following to support you as best as possible during your retreat:
1. Group meditations in the morning and evening (up to 5 hours daily). These are always “open-ended”: you can leave when you’ve had enough.
2. Supervision/Mentoring: Short one-on-one sessions covering topics such as meditation, the retreat, or the specific issues currently on your mind. These sessions can take place up to once a day upon request.
3. Materials:
- Various self-reflection questionnaires (e.g., to help you discover your life’s purpose or passion)
- Brainwave Entrainment (tracks and MP3 player): trains the brain, e.g., to better achieve meditative states
4. The premises, the garden, and the entire surroundings (nature reserve, forests, meadows, lake landscape) offer optimal retreat conditions.
5. Retreat community: complete seclusion or interaction with like-minded people—both are possible.
6. A wide selection of suitable meals (organic vegetarian) with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. All guests help themselves from the communal kitchen and cook individually for themselves or occasionally together.
The hostess of Little Paradises (Maria Lefèvre, long-time meditator, coach, author) is available daily for one-on-one conversations as needed.
Morning meditations take place from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the latest.
Evening meditations take place from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the latest.
All meditations are “open-ended”—you leave when you’ve had enough.
You decide for yourself whether you want to participate and for how long.

For me, the retreat was the first ever and I absolutely do not regret it. I have been received so nicely and it is simply immediately felt that you get there because of yourself. You get "your own space" and it doesn't matter what or who you are in everyday life. It was fun and it brought me a lot to myself and I believe that you can continue to grow through! Alles Liebe für das Little Paradies!
