Summary

We meet in small groups of no more than 12 participants. In the relaxed atmosphere of the Nikolauskloster, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it is easy to let go of daily concerns completely. Short talks on the topic of mindful communication encourage participants to positively change their thought patterns. This year’s central theme is: “Setting Boundaries Without Being Harsh.” Qigong, with its centered, meditative movements and focused breathing, helps you relax and optimize your energy flow. Mindful walks through nature and the monastery garden promote mindfulness and help you focus on what truly matters. The retreat weekend is rounded out with silent and guided meditations, which can have a particularly powerful effect when practiced in a group. In between, there is still plenty of time to process your impressions and deepen them through conversation with the other participants. With Qigong, we repeatedly focus our attention on the present moment and pure perception, thereby deepening the practice of mindfulness. The instructor, Kerstin Wessel, is a certified Qigong teacher recognized by the German Taiji-Qigong Federation, a communication trainer, and a trained TCM therapist.
A Qigong health course (€210) is included in the weekend and is subsidized by statutory health insurance providers.

The Nikolauskloster and its garden: A wonderful place to be with YOURSELF! The symbiosis of QiGong and KungFu is competently guided by the two lovely teachers, Kerstin and Marcel. Both respond flexibly to the abilities of the participants and provide targeted support. The meditation sessions round off the program wonderfully. Highly recommended!

It was a very nice weekend. A great monastery with very nice volunteers who really enjoy their job. I felt very comfortable here. The monastery is very well maintained and the food is excellent. The seminar with Kerstin was a complete success. I took away a lot that I will use in my everyday life. Kerstin organized the whole weekend in a very varied way. There was nothing missing.

I was given an unforgettable, varied weekend with lovely people. The speaker, Kerstin, has a wealth of knowledge which she is happy to pass on. I would love to be there again next year (at least once). Many thanks .

This was my first retreat and definitely not the last. I have rarely felt so comfortable in a group. Kerstin, the teacher, brings a relaxed calm that immediately infects everyone. She has a very pleasant voice and way of speaking, which makes the guided meditations much easier. As a beginner, it is often not easy to find inner peace. Qigong exercises are repeated regularly so that you can easily remember them and continue to use them at home. After the retreat, Kerstin will send you videos of the new exercises, book recommendations and other documents that you can use to deepen what you have learned. So the end of this retreat is not really the end of what you can take away with you. She also peppered the course again and again with personal questions about how we were feeling, responded to each participant individually and lovingly provided help and advice with questions/blockages/problems. Kerstin brings lots of little extras that I personally didn't know about before and makes them available, such as the use of eye cushions, explaining and using the Lemmiskate, drawing cards (which give you impulses for the day and can be explained in the group if you wish) and much more She creates an atmosphere in which you feel completely at ease and that was just right for me in my more than stressful everyday life. I can now add various Qigong elements to my daily meditation practice, which makes it much easier to achieve depth in meditation. I am totally happy and look forward to the next course with her.
