Quiet days in the Mühlviertel

The Vierkanthof in a secluded location with a view over the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel offers the ideal atmosphere for a sustainable break. Try out new things, clear your head and feel the impetus for change. You will find retreat and peace at the natural swimming pond, in the woods and in the vastness of the gently rolling landscape. Enjoy moments of relaxation in the pine-scented sauna and in the evening in a cozy atmosphere around the fire bowl.

Modern, vegetarian-vegan cuisine awaits you at the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center. Start the day with a feel-good breakfast with breads, jams, cheese, freshly prepared porridge, fruit, various types of milk, yogurt, fruit juices, spreads, coffee and different teas. At 2 pm we serve you a light lunch with a warming soup and spreads with bread or pastries.

Meditation is a training of the mind that aims at compassion towards all beings and insight into the primal nature of all phenomena.
During this time out in the vastness of the Mühlviertel hills and the security of the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center, we enter into the exercises again and again. With curiosity and a fresh beginner's spirit. This is not hours of toil on a cushion, but a discovery of stillness and concentration.

The meditation time is accompanied by breathing exercises, yoga and the sounding of mantras. Meditative walks and time in nature complete the silent days. We spend this time in noble silence and yet with the opportunity for mindful speech.

From Linz: via Ottensheim on the Rohrbacher Bundesstraße to Altenfelden
From Passau: via Oberkappel or Engelhartszell to Altenfelden

By train and bus
Travel by train to Linz main station, from here there are regular bus connections to Altenfelden, pick-up from the Altenfelden Ort bus stop is included at fixed times:
Pick-up from the bus: 14.08 h and 15.08 h (registration at least 24 hours before arrival)
Transfer to the bus: 09.50 h and 10.50 h.
