The Painting Realm is the perfect place for you: With intuitive painting, anything goes. And nothing is required.

The small Baroque town of Oranienbaum is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm. It’s well worth staying longer than just a day to explore the sprawling parks with their castles, bridges, and inspiring views. The Oranienbaum Heath and the vast Elbe meadows also invite you to take long afternoon walks after you’ve been painting in the morning.

Welcome reception on the day of arrival (around 7:30 p.m.; location to be announced)

Two 3-hour painting sessions (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.) with an instructor at the Das Mal-Reich studio

Final session on the day of departure at the studio (approx. 11 a.m.–12 p.m.)

Local hotels and restaurants cater to your dining needs (e.g., room reservations with half-board), and there are also supermarkets in the area.
sequence
For the long “Reflections” painting weekend, you’ll arrive on your own on Thursday evening. On the evening of your arrival (Thursday), I’ll invite you—optionally and depending on the weather and season—to take a walk or have a drink to welcome you to Oranienbaum. On Friday and Saturday, we’ll meet each morning for a 3-hour painting session. The afternoons are yours to enjoy the surroundings and, if you’d like, to chat with other participants.
Refreshed, enriched, and with your new “reflections” in your luggage, the long painting weekend comes to an end on Sunday after a final session.
