Silence and Meditation Retreat at the Monastery: Three Full Days of Silence, Reflection, and Clarity

Summary

How about starting the new year in a completely different way for a change? Not with new to-do lists and New Year’s resolutions, but with peace, clarity, and a deeper connection to yourself.

We warmly invite you to join us for three full days of silence, to step away from everyday life, and to experience the healing power of meditation, simplicity, and inner reflection.

The retreat takes place at the Niederaltaich Monastery in southern Germany, a special place of peace and reflection right on the Danube. Surrounded by nature and a peaceful atmosphere, a space is created where thoughts can quiet down and you can once again become more aware of what is alive within you.

The focus is on three full days of mindful silence. You can look forward to daily meditations, gentle Hatha yoga, breathing and mindfulness practices, guided deep relaxation sessions, as well as time for reflection, walks, and rest.

The retreat combines elements of meditation, yoga, Advaita Vedanta, Buddhism, and Western contemplation—in an open, down-to-earth, and dogma-free manner. It’s not about having to perform or achieve anything, but rather about slowing down, letting go, and stepping out of the constant cycle of doing for a few days.

The turn of the year offers a special opportunity to pause, reflect on the past year, and approach the new year with greater clarity and awareness.

After many retreats and group sessions in Mexico and Bali, as well as two already wonderful retreats at the Niederaltaich Monastery, I’m delighted to open this space once again.

Retreat Fee

The retreat fee is currently €330. The early-bird rate is valid through September 30, 2026.

Accommodations and vegetarian full board are not included and must be booked and paid for separately directly through the Niederaltaich Monastery.

I look forward to seeing you!
Katrin Blumenauer

Feedback from recent retreats:
“The retreat will have a lasting impact. It was intimate and powerful, and I felt safe and supported the entire time. The balance between guided sessions and time for myself was perfect. The silence was magical for me. Something truly special! This certainly won’t be my last retreat with Katrin.”
Anne, Germany

“During my first silent retreat, I felt very well guided by Katrin. I’m very grateful for her warm manner, the clear introduction, and her thoughtful answers to our questions.”
Marion, Germany

“Thank you so much for this intense and wonderful retreat. It was an enriching experience for me—an opportunity to find peace, engage in inner reflection, and devote myself fully to myself. For me, it was certainly not a one-time experience.”
Judith, Austria
