An Introduction for Professionals – Professional Development and Relaxation in a Dreamlike Setting
painting-in-crete
Metaphors and brain-friendly images allow for new, more fitting, or more helpful inner images that guide feelings and actions in such a way that new possibilities in life can emerge.
We will work practically, with each participant addressing a self-selected issue (symptom, desire, relationship clarification, dream, decision) using LOM, thereby having the opportunity to experience how LOM® works and produces results in practice.
If you like this approach, you have the opportunity to learn LOM® through a training program—in Crete or at the MIHK in Münster, Westphalia.
The training is designed for art and psychotherapists who wish to specifically initiate and accompany change processes through painting.
LOM® comes into play precisely where thinking, talking, and expressing oneself are no longer sufficient.

The LOM® SOLUTION-ORIENTED PAINTING THERAPY Method
When thinking no longer helps, we need something that can lead us to new, unexpected solutions.
Issues may include:
- old, burdensome stories,
- current burdensome issues (including physical symptoms),
- limiting thought patterns,
- relationship concerns,
- decisions that cannot be made,
- wishes that should finally be fulfilled,
- a vague sense of unease,
and much more.
Based on your concern, we develop a painting task—a metaphor (it doesn’t mean anything, but it can set something in motion) or a recalled image.
The image is then painted slowly and with great attention—using criteria that support optimal results. As you paint, a connection to the image develops, leading to further steps.
The painting tasks are also suitable for those with no prior painting experience
