This five-day retreat is aimed at people who feel mentally or emotionally challenged, at anyone who wants to learn to perceive intense emotions, inner turmoil, or physical stress reactions more consciously and to respond to them with greater self-compassion. In a clearly structured, trauma-sensitive setting, you will learn how to expand your inner capacity—the ability to hold even challenging sensations without losing your footing. The practice combines gentle, trauma-sensitive yoga with somatic movement sequences, breath work, and guided body journeys. In addition, journaling, reflection rounds, and small group formats support the integration of the experience. Each unit invites you to perceive the signals of the body in a more differentiated way, to respect boundaries, and to build trust in your own self-regulatory abilities. The daily rhythm follows the natural structure of activation and rest. In the morning, gentle yoga and breathing units promote body awareness and create stability for the day. In the morning, somatic awareness exercises and journaling deepen the connection to inner sensations and emotional reactions. After a vegetarian-vegan meal, there is time for retreat—whether it be a quiet walk around the house, a view of the mountains, or the soothing Swiss stone pine sauna.
In the afternoon, body-mind workshops focus on the connection between somatic movement, breath work, and asana practice with understandable background knowledge. You will learn how certain exercises affect the nervous system and emotional regulation and how these experiences can be mindfully transferred into everyday life. The day ends with meditation, silent practice, or reflection rounds that create space for integration and inner clarity.
The calm, minimalist atmosphere of the Mountain Retreat Center with its bright seminar rooms, mountain views, and conscious simplicity supports this process. The alpine environment has a stabilizing and grounding effect—an ideal setting not only to practice somatic healing, but to anchor it deeply. Program contents - Gentle, trauma-sensitive yoga
