This retreat focuses on using the body as a guide to self-regulation and inner stability. Somatic Healing helps you become more aware of your stress responses, recognize dysregulation early on, and restore a sense of security to your nervous system. Through mindful, body-oriented exercises, you’ll experience how inner balance can emerge—not through performance, but through awareness, presence, and gradual integration.
A central element of the retreat is Nia—a holistic movement practice often experienced as a dance of joy. Nia combines free, rhythmic movement with conscious body awareness, having both a regulating and invigorating effect. The dance sequences invite you to discover your own expression, get energy flowing, and use joy as a resource for the nervous system.
The practice is complemented by in-depth knowledge of the autonomic nervous system: you will learn how regulation is possible through the body, how stress—both positive and negative—affects you, and what individual reaction patterns emerge in daily life. Mindfulness methods, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques support the conscious development and sustainable anchoring of self-care.
Guided body and breathing exercises, meditation, gentle functional movement, and group discussion promote self-regulation. Periods of rest, time spent in nature, and relaxation on the expansive grounds and at the Son Manera Retreat Finca’s on-site spa allow you to integrate your experiences and build new inner stability.
This retreat is designed for people who wish to better understand and regulate their nervous system, as well as for professionals in therapy, coaching, education, or healthcare who want to deepen their body-oriented expertise.
