As mentioned earlier, our actual hike is preceded by a planning meeting. During this meeting—which can also be held online—we discuss everything we need to know.
- We discuss a destination that matches the fitness level of the participants
- We discuss the necessary gear
- We create a meal plan
- We set a meeting place, date, and time.
On Day X at the meeting point—usually a public transit stop—we meet in person for the first time and get to know each other. A quick greeting, a check of the equipment, and if needed, food can still be purchased here, and then we’re off.
We reach our destination in manageable stages. Coaching sessions take place between hiking stages—so that while walking, there is plenty of time and leisure to reflect and arrive at conclusions. We reflect on, refine, expand upon, and—if desired—document these conclusions.
If the opportunity arises, a longer break is planned for lunch, ideally with a cozy campfire and cooking.
We’ll be back at the agreed-upon time.
