Writing retreat in Burgenland

Far away from everyday life, this is where you awaken your stories: For four days, you will immerse yourself in writing on a lovingly renovated farm in Austria - and develop your strengths.

I'll get you writing in six guided sessions: I'll get you in the mood with relaxation and a creative impulse. Then you'll dive into a short, intensive writing phase. Look forward to scenes, dialogs and stories that flow onto paper as if by magic.

In the subsequent reading and feedback session, you will find out what you did well: Which words touched us? Which character convinced us? Which descriptions were coherent?

We discuss what worked in the resulting texts - and learn a thing or two about literary craft. You benefit from the feedback and the linguistic feeling of the group. And gain insights that you can build on when continuing to write.

You will have free time between our sessions. Arrange it however you like: explore the surroundings. Swim a lap in the pool until the next idea comes to you. Seek exchange with others. Or retreat to a cozy niche for undisturbed writing. In the evening, we round off the writing day in a relaxed atmosphere: With a vegetarian menu, freshly cooked for us.

Writers of all kinds are welcome at the retreat. It doesn't matter whether you have been writing for a while or just want to start now: We meet at eye level. You don't need any previous knowledge. Novel scenes, short stories or miniatures are created at the writing retreat. Some write literary, others autobiographical. All genres and styles are welcome.

You are welcome to bring your own writing project and use the impulses in our group sessions. However, a specific project is not a prerequisite: you can take part without any preparation and be inspired to write new texts every day.
