Summary

The retreat "Writing the sea. Paint the sea." with Babette from "SchreibKunstLiebe" and the island artist Karin Gritsch combines creative & biographical writing, intuitive painting and experiencing nature to create a holistic mixed-media process.
The focus will be on the creation of personal island notes. Your individual creative diary that combines personal texts, sketches, found objects and collages.
You have time for yourself and your ideas. For your very own view of the world and everything that seeks space within you. We accompany you step by step in a creative process that remains light and playful. No "having to be able to" and no perfectionism.

No previous experience is required. Please bring writing materials.

The gallery Ku.Pellworm is located on the Südermitteldeich, in the middle of the vast greenery of the North Sea island. This is where sky and horizon meet. For the retreat "Writing the sea. Meer malen." the entire vacation home is at our disposal. Each accommodation unit has its own kitchen. Therefore, there is the possibility to cook together or alone in between or to drink tea/coffee.
We stay in bright double rooms with a clear design and warm atmosphere. Wood, light and art create an environment that offers peace and relaxation.
Artistic energy flows tangibly in the rooms of the gallery. Here we paint intuitively, write and set thoughts and colors in motion. Between brush, pen and notebook, your personal island book is created step by step - a mixture of texts, sketches, found objects and collages.
The mudflats begin right outside the door. The wind will be your companion and the tides will set the rhythm.
The gallery Ku.Pellworm is a guest house with soul, offering space to discover, try things out and recharge your batteries.

Catering

During the retreat, a catering service will provide our meals. We enjoy fresh, seasonal dishes with vegetarian and vegan options. Meals are delivered to the house. In between meals, tea, coffee and small snacks are available in the kitchens of the accommodation units.

Cancellation policy

Full refund up to 14 days before arrival.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

If you cancel up to 3 days before arrival, you will be refunded 50% of the booking price.
Thereafter the booking is non-refundable.
Participants who cancel up to 14 days before the start of the seminar will be charged a fee of €20.00.
If the participant withdraws at least 3 working days before the start of the seminar, 50% of the seminar fee is due.
If the participant withdraws less than 3 working days before the start of the seminar, 100% of the seminar fee shall be due.
The organizer may withdraw from the contract if the minimum number of participants is not reached or for other important reasons (e.g. illness, death in the family, etc.). In this case, the full course fee will be refunded to the participants. No further claims can be made against the organizer in such cases.
