A Week of Writing in the City of Literature
During this stay, you’ll discover Paris through places that inspire writing. Carefully selected locations where you can feel the presence of literary role models or famous figures. Enchanting places where your own stories and characters come to life.
I’ll guide you with specific prompts to help you take in life in the city. You’ll let your emotions, thoughts, and observations flow onto the page.
If you bring a writing project with you, this inspiration will flow naturally into your texts. You can also simply let yourself be surprised, capture moments, and record your impressions. Between our activities in the city, you’ll find peace and quiet in a cozy room in a historic building: during guided writing and reading sessions.
Who is this trip to Paris for?
It’s perfect for you if you love to write! No matter how much experience you have.
For a week, you’ll take a break from your everyday life. Under my guidance, you’ll discover your destination through writing. Our writing sessions on the go will alternate with quieter sessions in a historic Parisian building.
You’ll enjoy professionally facilitated reading and feedback sessions and supportive discussions in a small group (maximum of six people).
Here’s how our stay will unfold
We’ll meet daily in a charming room in a historic building for a guided writing session. I’ll gently guide you into writing with an audio prompt. After a short, focused writing session, you’ll read your text aloud and receive strength-based feedback: we’ll focus exclusively on what we like and what moves us. This way, you’ll learn how your writing comes across and continue to develop your writing voice.
On three mornings, we’ll explore the city through writing. We’ll meet at places that open up different perspectives for you. The city itself isn’t your only source of inspiration: I’ll provide additional prompts to help you delve deeper into your writing.
To ensure there’s enough time for your own explorations and interests, there will be one day in between with no official program. Of course, I’ll provide you with carefully selected tips for other places related to writing: this way, you can go on a literary journey of discovery even outside of our sessions.
At the end of our time together, we’ll treat ourselves to an extensive reading session, where we’ll celebrate the texts we’ve created during our explorations.
Move your book project forward. Write a travel journal, scenes, or stories. Anything is possible in the City of Literature…
