This yoga and dance retreat at Alpen Retreat combines conscious movement, dance, and mindful bodywork for a holistic getaway in the mountains. In a safe and supportive environment, you are invited to connect more deeply with yourself through yoga, free and guided dance, and periods of silence. The retreat combines gentle yoga sessions with various dance and embodiment formats. The focus is not on performance or technique, but on feeling, perceiving, and authentically expressing what is present in the moment. Movement is used as a way to release tension, open inner spaces, and reconnect with your own rhythm. Accompanying elements such as breathwork, sound, silence, and time in nature support the processes and create space for integration and recovery. The alpine environment, the conscious daily structure, and nourishing meals contribute to a feeling of security, grounding, and arrival. This retreat is aimed at people who want to experience yoga and dance as paths to self-awareness and who long for more presence, vitality, and inner clarity. No previous experience is necessary—openness to movement and a willingness to encounter yourself are enough.
Who will accompany you on this retreat: Dorothea Appelmeier Doro loves yoga, dancing, nature, and life. She has been practicing yoga since 2005, more intensively since completing her Hatha yoga teacher training (500 hours) in 2017. Passing on and bringing to life what is valuable to her is what drives her teaching. This includes: calming the mind; feeling completely at one with the body through concentration and movement; arriving at oneself; stimulating and allowing life energy to flow; taking the deep peace and serenity that yoga brings into everyday life...
...and then purring because it simply feels good. She teaches in her gentle and precise manner and responds to individual needs. She also has extensive experience in craniosacral work, including in connection with yoga. Julia Koderer Dance teacher, body therapist, dancer
I discovered my love of dance very early in my childhood as something very primal and natural. Dance has accompanied me throughout my life and embodies vitality, freedom, and authenticity for me. Even in difficult times, it has always been by my side and has been a familiar source of support, offering me continuity and stability, but also teaching me patience, acceptance, and gratitude. The human body and body language have fascinated me for many years, as have the self-healing powers that lie within all of us. For me, encounters with people are the spice of life, exciting and inspiring. Together, we immerse ourselves in a wide variety of processes and embark on a joint journey of discovery.
