The itinerary and times are examples. In Morocco, things move at a slightly different pace, so minor changes are possible at any time. Day 1 (Saturday) – Individual arrival in Marrakesh Our program starts with a get-together and introduction on the rooftop terrace of the riad in the evening.
If desired, we can have dinner together (not included) and/or you can explore the souk of Marrakesh on your own. Day 2 - Drive to the desert Departure at around 6:30 a.m. - We will be picked up and drive through the fascinating landscapes of the Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountains to the edge of the desert. Breaks for breakfast, lunch (included), photo stops, etc. are of course planned, and we can already gain some insights into this fascinating country along the way. Arrival in M'Hamid - where we meet our local guides. Our luggage is loaded onto the dromedaries and we start our first short hike into the desert to our first camp.
In a yoga session between the dunes, we shake off the journey and admire our first sunset in the desert. After dinner around the campfire, everyone chooses where to sleep – in one of the tents or under the starry sky. Days 3-6 Immersion in the desert
We start the day with a yoga session at sunrise. Meanwhile, the cook prepares our breakfast, and while we eat, the tents are taken down and the dromedaries loaded. Then we set off on our daily hike to the new campsite. Roughly estimated (we don't need watches there) from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On the way, we take a break to refill our water bottles and recharge our batteries with fruit and dates. Anyone who is tired can sit on one of the dromedaries traveling with us. At the new campsite, the camp is already set up, and we can rest in the shade and are welcomed with tea, nuts, and cookies. A fresh lunch (with lots of fruit and vegetables) will be served. Afterwards, there will be time to read, rest, and explore the area. Time for yourself. In the late afternoon, we will meet for a gentle yoga session (approx. 90 minutes), which we will plan so that we can watch the sunset afterwards. Yoga is often complemented by meditation.
The evening ends with a campfire and dinner accompanied by stories and songs – until everyone crawls into their sleeping bags – with a view of the fabulous starry sky or in their tents. Day 7 – Back to Marrakesh After a final night in the desert, we take a short hike back to the place where our transfer is waiting for us. We begin our return journey to Marrakech – as the landscape glides past us, we have some time to digest our many impressions. We plan the evening together. In a large group, in smaller groups or individually, we can explore the souk, find great locations for a final dinner, buy souvenirs, etc.
Day 8 – Conclusion and individual journey home or extension Before breakfast, we meet again on the roof terrace. We reflect on the trip, conclude it together, and enjoy a final breakfast together before saying goodbye.
