The sight of the almond trees, which transform many regions of the island into a sea of blossoms in February, is truly impressive. The Son Manera Retreat Finca is also home to numerous almond trees, so you can admire these harbingers of spring practically right outside your room.
During the hikes (2–4 hours each) and explorations, which take us through diverse landscapes, you’ll experience traditional villages, colorful markets, and the island’s rich flora, while also learning fascinating facts about its culture and history. We’ll also visit the island’s capital, Palma, which invites you to marvel at its cathedral and winding alleys. A visit to a pilgrimage site that remains important to Mallorcans, such as Mount Randa with its monastery or the Monastery of Sant Salvador, is also on the program.
During our week together, Hatha Yoga based on B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga will help us stay present in the moment and explore the island with open eyes. Depending on the daily schedule, we’ll start the day with a morning yoga session (1 hour). Another session (1.5 hours) is scheduled for the late afternoon.
PROGRAM DETAILS
The yoga sessions are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The physically precise alignment in the postures of Iyengar Yoga allows for a deeper connection with the body. This creates “meditation in motion” and fosters a clear, healthy sense of body and mind.
Depending on the weather, we’ll explore the island’s impressive landscapes on foot during three hikes (each 2–4 hours, easy difficulty). The exact schedule depends on the weather and will be announced on-site.
Our programs are also ideal for accompanying guests who do not wish to participate in the program but would like to pursue their own interests. Mallorca offers a wide range of opportunities for sports activities, sightseeing, or simply relaxing by the pool or on the beach.
We will travel by minibus to the starting points of some hikes.
For the full-day hikes, you will receive a packed lunch instead of lunch at the finca.
