Yoga, Meditation, and the Power of Silence in Chiemgau

All meals at the Mountain Retreat Center are vegetarian and vegan. The most important meal of the day—at least according to the Chinese—is breakfast. That’s why we, too, place special emphasis on a good, healthy breakfast—which always includes warm porridge. For lunch, you’ll enjoy soup, bread, and spreads, and in the evening, you’ll be treated to a delicious buffet featuring salad, creative vegetarian and vegan main courses, and dessert. Everything is freshly prepared and, whenever possible, made with seasonal ingredients. We can accommodate food intolerances with advance notice.

Over the course of these five days, your program leader will gently guide you into meditation through physical exercises combined with breathing. You’ll engage your body, breath, and mind equally in this process. The goal is to create, through shared practice, a solid physical and emotional foundation that will enable you to face everyday life—with all its demands—in a relaxed and contented manner. Far beyond physical strength and flexibility, a holistic effect may take hold. The silence and moments of stillness will support you in fully connecting with yourself and ultimately lead you back to your inner joy.

The course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis, as both the Hatha yoga exercises and the breathing exercises are adapted to the participants’ individual abilities.

Note: To experience the healing power of silence, the program takes place in silence from the first evening through the last morning.

The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the Chiemgau region of Germany, on the border with Austria.
