Yoga, Meditation, and the Power of Silence in Chiemgau

Ziehen Sie sich zurück in das Mountain Retreat Center in der Chiemgauer Bergwelt. Das Retreat Center hat 20 Zimmer mit Ausblick in die beeindruckende Naturlandschaft der Alpen. Da kann es schon passieren, dass man aus dem Nichts ins Staunen kommt. Immer wieder aufs Neue. Jedes unserer Zimmer ist für sich ein Rückzugsort der besonderen Art. Klein, fein, gemütlich.

All meals at the Mountain Retreat Center are vegetarian and vegan. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day—at least according to the Chinese. That’s why we also place special emphasis on a good, healthy breakfast—always featuring warm porridge. For lunch, you’ll enjoy soup, bread, and spreads, and in the evening, you’ll be treated to a delicious buffet featuring salad, creative vegetarian and vegan main courses, and dessert. Everything is freshly prepared and, whenever possible, made with seasonal ingredients. We can accommodate food intolerances with advance notice.

Over the course of these five days, your program leader will gently guide you into meditation through physical exercises combined with breathwork. You will integrate body, breath, and mind equally into this process. The goal is to create a solid physical and emotional foundation through shared practice, enabling you to face everyday life and all its demands with a sense of relaxation and contentment. The benefits extend far beyond physical strength and flexibility, offering a holistic effect. Silence and moments of stillness support you in fully connecting with yourself and ultimately lead you back to your inner joy.

The course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis, as both the Hatha yoga exercises and the breathing exercises are adapted to the participants’ individual abilities.

Note: To experience the healing power of silence, the program takes place in silence from the first evening through the last morning.

The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the Chiemgau region of Germany, on the border with Austria.

Traveling by car
Take the A8 highway (coming from Munich or Salzburg) and exit at Frasdorf, then head toward Aschau; from there, it’s a 15-minute drive to Sachrang.

Traveling by train
Take the train or bus to Aschau or Prien in Chiemgau. From there, you can reach Sachrang either by bus (limited service) or by taxi.
Taxi fare from Aschau to the Mountain Retreat Center is approximately €35.
