Your getaway in the gently rolling hills of the Mühlviertel begins on Friday afternoon. Take a deep breath, marvel at the stunning natural surroundings of the Kleebauer Hof, and simply let go of everything. Now you have time. Time to cultivate inner strength, spaciousness, and balance through yoga. And to immerse yourself in the forest through forest bathing—known in Japanese as Shinrin Yoku—and feel its healing power.
The most important facts in a nutshell:
Full board (vegetarian and vegan), including afternoon cake
Tea included all day & fruit available for free
"Yoga Weekend in the Mühlviertel" Program
1 evening session (meditation or ritual)
Use of the sauna and natural swimming pond
Free Wi-Fi
1 session of forest bathing
Free rental of Nordic walking poles and snowshoes
Pickup from the Altenfelden bus station (at fixed times)
2 or 3 nights at the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center
4 or 6 yoga sessions
All rooms are decorated in a rustic style and feature a shower, toilet, and hairdryer. All rooms are intentionally TV-free. You can choose between a view of the courtyard or the countryside. The property includes 230,000 square meters of meadows and woodlands.
This is a non-smoking property; a designated smoking area is available. There is also an electric vehicle charging station.
At the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center, you can enjoy modern vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Start your day with a hearty breakfast featuring breads, jams, cheese, freshly made porridge, fruit, a variety of milk options, yogurt, fruit juices, spreads, coffee, and a selection of teas. At 2 p.m., we serve a light lunch featuring a warming soup along with spreads served with bread or pastries.
Spend a weekend at the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center. Situated directly on the Granite Pilgrimage Trail and in a secluded location, the 800-year-old square farmstead is surrounded by its own forest, where you can experience the Japanese practice of forest bathing. Beneath the tree canopy, your senses will awaken. An evening meditation or ritual will help calm your thoughts.
In the morning and late afternoon, you can do your body and mind a favor and practice yoga in the yoga room, by the natural swimming pond, or in a forest clearing. Or simply relax—for example, in the Swiss stone pine sauna. A relaxing yet active getaway between the Danube and the Bohemian Forest.
