Summary

Yoga Alliance-Certified Yoga Teacher Training in Austria

The Kundalini Yoga you will practice is the soul and root of both Hatha Yoga and Sound Yoga. It is the gateway to a deep, spiritually oriented practice of self-development. Throughout this training, you will explore ancient practices of Kundalini and Hatha Yoga and acquire the skills and strength necessary for teaching. By the end of this course, you will have become familiar with the ancient foundations of yoga, enabling you to integrate and embody Kundalini as a living aspect of your Hatha Yoga practice. You’ll explore all of this along the banks of the Danube and in the ancient vineyards of the Wachau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Catering

Do you cook in your camper? Then the rest doesn’t matter.

With us, you’ll cook for yourself—and cook well. The training program includes a large, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook, as well as a selection of staple foods at your disposal.

This is a deliberate choice, not a cost-cutting measure. Over the course of a four-week training program, cooking together becomes an integral part of the training: You’ll quickly notice how your approach changes when you decide for yourself what and when to eat. Between morning practice, theory, and evening practice, the kitchen becomes a second space where the group grows closer together. Many participants later say that these are the moments that have stayed with them the most.

Anyone with special dietary needs—whether out of personal choice or necessity—can easily accommodate them here, since no one is tied to a set menu.

In addition, there are shopping options in the area, as well as wine taverns and restaurants in Rossatz and the neighboring towns of the Wachau region, should you ever prefer not to cook for yourself.

sequence

The training consists of 200 hours in accordance with Yoga Alliance standards and takes place as a 26-day intensive course. Classes are held from Wednesday through Sunday; Monday and Tuesday are set aside for personal practice, reading, and rest.

A typical training day looks like this:

7:00 a.m. – Morning practice
8:00 a.m. – Breakfast break
8:45 a.m. – Theory
12:00 p.m. – Midday practice
1:00 p.m. – Lunch break
3:00 p.m. – Theory (Thursdays and Fridays)
5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Evening practice

The schedule is intentionally packed but not hectic. Practice and theory alternate so that what you learn is integrated into your body on the same day rather than remaining mere theory. Since you live in the same building where classes are held, there’s no need to travel—you step right from your door onto the mat.

In terms of content, we’ll move from the basics of asana and pranayama practice through yogic anatomy and teaching methodology to the philosophical sources: the classical texts of Hatha Yoga, the Yoga Sutras, and the philosophy of Śiva Tantra.

At the end of the course, you’ll teach a class yourself. We’ll review these teaching demonstrations with you and provide personalized feedback—they’re part of the final assessment and the RYT®200 standard. We’ll mail you the handbooks and course materials before the course begins.

Arrival

Rossatz is located in the Wachau region, about an hour's drive west of Vienna.

By car, you can reach us via the A1 Westautobahn and Melk, or via the B33 along the southern bank of the Danube from St. Pölten or Krems. Parking is available on site.

By train, travel to Krems an der Donau; there’s a direct connection from Vienna’s Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof. From Krems, take the regional bus to the Rossatz side. During the warmer months, the ferry is a nice alternative: from Dürnstein or Weißenkirchen, you can cross the Danube and reach us in no time.

From Vienna-Schwechat Airport, take a train or bus to Vienna and from there, the connection to Krems. Expect the total trip to take about two and a half hours.

Since the training lasts several weeks and you’ll be staying in the same building where classes are held, you won’t really need a car once you’re here. Much of the Wachau region is better reached on foot, by bike, or by ferry anyway. The Danube Cycle Path runs right past Rossatz.

Feel free to contact us before your arrival. We’ll then let you know exactly which route is best for your arrival day.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel up to 1 days before arrival, you will receive a 20% refund of the booking price.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

You can cancel your participation up until the day of arrival. In that case, we will retain the deposit you’ve paid; the remaining amount will be refunded to you or will not be due in the first place.

We keep the terms deliberately simple. A four-week training program is a decision you make months in advance, and a lot can happen during that time—both professionally and personally. That’s why we don’t have tiered cancellation periods or percentages that increase with each passing week. If you need to cancel, just let us know.

The deposit secures your spot. Since we work in small groups and have only three apartments, a spot that becomes available at the last minute usually can’t be filled—the deposit covers at least part of this loss.

If you’re unable to attend at the last minute, please contact us before you cancel. In many cases, we can find a solution: It’s often possible to reschedule your participation to one of the upcoming dates instead of canceling entirely. We offer the training several times a year.

Should we have to cancel a session ourselves, we will, of course, refund the full amount you have already paid.
