Perhaps you’re familiar with phrases like, “I’m frozen with fear” or “That shook me to the core.”
These colloquial expressions describe exactly what we now know in somatic psychology:
Stressful experiences and deep exhaustion leave their mark. Right in your muscles, in your breath, in your cells.
It doesn’t take a severe, traumatic event for this to happen. All it takes is the very normal, years-long chronic stress—and the insidious poison that sets in when “functioning” simply becomes more important than “feeling.”
And where “enduring” has, completely unnoticed, become your normal state.
You might notice this because:
* In everyday life, your body feels more like a functional mode of transportation than a cozy home.
* you only notice physical warning signs—like a tense neck or hunger—when it’s actually already far too late.
* you only become aware of your limits when you’ve long since crossed them by miles and the anger or tears start to flow.
For years, you’ve been winding yourself down little by little to keep everything around you running smoothly.
But it doesn’t have to stay this way. This retreat is your safe haven when a quiet yet unstoppable desire grows within you—the desire for your body to finally become a vibrant, safe, and secure home once again.
✦ What You Can Look Forward To
Nestled in the soothing power of nature, a safe space awaits you. A place where, for a few days, you can simply tune out the outside world and completely disconnect.
* Trauma-sensitive one-on-one yoga without any pressure to perform:
Forget Instagram-worthy poses. Here, yoga is simply the umbrella term for your journey back to yourself. It’s all about gradually reconnecting with your body and rebuilding a safe connection with yourself, step by step, so you can feel comfortable in your own skin again.
Sometimes that simply means: breathing, lying still, or making a minimal, gentle movement. You don’t need any prior experience—we’ll go at your pace and adapt the practice to your physical abilities.
* Nature as medicine for your nervous system:
Not just a pretty backdrop, but pure relief: During gentle forest bathing, you recharge with all your senses. Together with subtle, energetic impulses, we help your system shed chronic, persistent tension layer by layer. You can let go of control and let nature do the work.
*Your anchor for everyday life afterward:
You’ll not only leave feeling refreshed, but you’ll also take concrete tools home with you. You’ll learn to finally recognize your body’s subtle warning signs earlier again and to lovingly yet clearly set and maintain your boundaries in everyday life. So that after these days, the way you treat yourself becomes noticeably kinder, gentler, and more serene.
✦ Your next step

Take this impulse seriously—to pause your daily routine for a moment and give yourself some space.

✦ How I Work: Your Safe Haven
My name is Sabine, and I support people through life transitions—especially when it comes to reconnecting with themselves, taking their boundaries seriously, and no longer ignoring their own needs.
• With heart and clarity: I use approaches that are nervous-system-friendly and neurodivergent-friendly, but I also bring an honest attitude and a willingness to explore with you the places where things get uncomfortable.
• Undivided attention: With me, you’ll receive something that’s become rare: plenty of time. During your retreat, I’m there exclusively and one-on-one just for you and your process.
• No “functioning,” no “performing”: Many experience their time with me as a safe haven from everyday life. Simply be cared for for a few days, take a deep breath, and explore together with someone the burden you’ve been carrying alone for far too long.
The Foundation of My Work
Training in life and social counseling, couples and sex therapy, TSY bodywork, human energetics, shamanism, and nature and wilderness education. Over the years, this has evolved into my very own style: psychologically grounded, nature-based, and deeply grounding.
✦ The Retreat Location: Nature’s Cinema Instead of Constant Noise
My lovingly maintained place of power is located in the Murtal valley in Styria. Surrounded by lush green nature and nestled between mountains, forests, and water. It’s a place to take a deep breath, completely free of TV, radio noise, or the constant digital buzz that keeps you constantly disconnected from yourself.
Instead, you’ll find: nature cinema with the murmur of a stream and a chorus of birds. No Wi-Fi, but a full connection to yourself. Nature is far more than just a beautiful backdrop here: it helps regulate your overloaded nervous system and is an active part of our shared process.
✦ What Your Days with Me Will Look Like
Your retreat follows a clear structure, but isn’t meticulously scheduled down to the minute. We work intuitively with whatever arises in the moment.
• Day 1: Arrival & Settling In
Starting at 2:00 p.m., you can settle in at your own pace. Afterward, we’ll get to know each other during a “Walk & Talk” in nature, see what you need, and devote ourselves to forest bathing. The evening is all about winding down: a cozy dinner, taking a deep breath, and stargazing.
• Day 2: Deepening & Process Work
After breakfast, space opens up for you and your process; depending on what arises and what you need at the moment, we’ll work in nature through forest bathing or with TSY and body awareness.
In between, there will be regular breaks to process, reflect, and rest.
The evening winds down peacefully over dinner.
• Day 3: Harvest & Integration
Sleep in again and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Afterward, we’ll take time to reflect on the experience and bring in your harvest: What has emerged? What can you take with you into your everyday life?
Your retreat ends around 12:00 p.m., and you can depart feeling rejuvenated and at peace.
Sustainable travel by train is possible; the train station is within walking distance.
By car from Vienna Vösendorf and Linz: approx. 2 hours
From Graz and Klagenfurt: approx. 1 hour
From Salzburg: approx. 2.5 hours

, 8800 Frauenburg, Steiermark, AustriaIf you’d like to stay with me longer, please feel free to talk to me about it.
Note: The trauma-sensitive yoga (TSY according to Joachim Pfahl) that I offer is a purely body-oriented method for self-awareness, building resilience, and regulating the nervous system.
This retreat is designed to promote physical and mental well-being, as well as self-awareness and psychoeducation, on a voluntary basis. It is not a substitute for psychotherapeutic, medical, or psychiatric treatment or diagnosis, and is not intended to be therapy.
