These two pottery classes are being held in collaboration with ceramic artist Gösta Sandler from Hamburg. Gösta is 27 years old and has been working with ceramics as part of his creative journey since 2020. In addition to his studies, he teaches pottery classes in his studio in Hamburg and helps beginners discover the medium of clay for themselves. In his own studio, he regularly creates new works on the potter’s wheel as well as using various building techniques. He places particular importance on creating a relaxed and open atmosphere where everyone can find their own approach to ceramics and bring their own ideas to life.
Depending on the participants’ preferences, we will either throw functional ceramics such as plates, bowls, or cups on the wheel or offer artistic projects in the field of hand-built ceramics.
The most important facts in a nutshell:
Accommodations with full board
Pottery class with instruction, all materials, and use of the pottery wheels and kiln
Bicycles, rowboat on the lake, use of the sauna, hot tub, hammock, etc.
Excursions by arrangement (glassblowing workshop, visits to local potters, etc.)
