Summary

The Navagraha Temples – A Spiritual Journey
to the Nine Planet Temples in South India
November 6–19, 2026, and February 5–18, 2027, 14 days/13 nights
Group tour for 4–10 people

The nine Navagraha Temples are a unique group of Hindu temples in southern India, each dedicated to one of the nine celestial bodies: the Sun, Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Mercury, Rahu, and Ketu. These sacred sites are spread across nine different locations around the city of Kumbakonam in the state of Tamil Nadu, as well as in the Karaikal district of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
Right at the start, visitors receive a palm leaf reading that reveals which planets in their horoscope should be strengthened. Accordingly, they can honor the planetary deities at the respective temples to balance their energies.
Visiting the Navagraha temples is considered a powerful way to mitigate negative planetary influences and amplify positive energies. Thus, we embark on a spiritual pilgrimage to these sacred sites to positively influence our destiny through rituals and mantras. The palm leaf reading shows us which planets are in an unfavorable constellation and need to be strengthened, as they could weaken our lives and our energy.
In addition, we will visit the sacred site of Rameswaram to free ourselves from stubborn karma. While Varanasi in northern India is considered a spiritual stronghold, Rameswaram fulfills this role in the south of the country.

Overnight: Chidambaram, Saradharam Hotel

Day 7: Navagraha Temples – Mars, Mercury, Ketu & Saturn
On the way to Kumbakonam, we visit four Navagraha temples. Each represents a specific planet and its influence on our lives—from health and courage (Mars) to mental clarity (Mercury), karmic purification (Ketu), and life’s trials (Saturn). Recommended rituals support energetic balance.
Overnight: Swamimalai, Indeco Hotel

Day 8: Navagraha Temples – Jupiter, Rahu, Venus & Sun
Further temple visits take us to Jupiter (meaning of life, teacher energy), Rahu (shadow aspects, inner restlessness), Venus (relationships, abundance), and the Sun (vitality, self-confidence). This day has a profound effect on both an astrological and emotional level.
