BookAll meals at the Mountain Retreat Center are vegetarian and vegan. The most important meal of the day—at least according to the Chinese—is breakfast. That’s why we also place special emphasis on a good, healthy breakfast—which always includes warm porridge. For lunch, you’ll enjoy soup, bread, and spreads, and in the evening, you’ll be treated to a delicious buffet featuring salad, creative vegetarian and vegan main courses, and dessert. Everything is freshly prepared and, whenever possible, made with seasonal ingredients. We can accommodate food intolerances with advance notice.
Some phases of life feel like a transition between winter and spring: the old is fading away, the new is already in the air, but not quite within reach yet. This is exactly where this retreat comes in. It invites women to pause, become more aware of their own bodies, and navigate personal or professional changes with greater kindness.
At the Mountain Retreat Center in Chiemgau, you’ll find a peaceful, serene setting for this. The house is small, charming, and cozy; the rooms are simple and decorated in an alpine chic style. Every room offers a view of the natural landscape—sometimes a quiet moment by the window is all it takes to feel a sense of openness again. Benches around the house invite you to relax, and hiking trails lead into the surrounding area, both near and far. In March, crisp mountain air, the lingering calm of winter, and the first energy of early spring blend to create an atmosphere that fosters both retreat and new beginnings.
In the morning, gentle yoga sessions foster stability, flexibility, and inner peace. Mindful breathing exercises and relaxation sequences help you begin the day with awareness and rediscover a sense of trust in your own center.
In the afternoon, the focus is on dance, free movement, and body awareness. Free from the pressure to perform, whatever is present in the moment is allowed to emerge: vitality, lightness, and perhaps even stillness. Meditative dance forms, rituals, guided relaxation journeys, and moments of reflection create space to express emotions, release tension, and face personal change with greater confidence.
Between sessions, there’s time for walks, quiet reflection, conversation, or a visit to the Swiss stone pine sauna with a view of the Chiemgau Mountains. The vegetarian and vegan full-board meals, tea and water available all day in the lounge, and the peaceful atmosphere of the retreat center round out this restorative, sustainable retreat.
