6-Day MBSR Mindfulness Intensive Course in Mondsee
Mondsee, Austria
$771 / 6 Days
...is a unique 3-day seminar where you’ll live together with other participants and the facilitator, just like in a shared apartment. The price includes lodging, full board (mostly vegetarian and made with organic ingredients), the seminar, and sales tax.
The number of participants ranges from 3 to 6, ensuring that each participant has enough time for an individual conversation with the facilitator.
What it’s about:
When everything becomes too much, a complete retreat into mindful company can work wonders. In this course, we’ll practice “the art of slow movement” together.
The small group (max. 6 participants) allows plenty of room for getting to know one another and practicing together, but also for personal retreat. The program guarantees a relaxing and varied experience.
We’ll draw on practices from Japanese philosophy and psychology (Morita Therapy, Naikan, and Zen), some of which trace their roots back to millennia-old Asian and Western wisdom (Confucius, Socrates).
At the end of each day, you’ll return to your everyday life feeling relaxed and confident, knowing: “I can do this again anytime—either here or at home”;-)

BookIn general, we prepare vegetarian meals using mostly fresh, organic ingredients. Herbs picked from nature enhance the flavor of our dishes and also serve as garnish (depending on the season). If you have any special requests or cannot tolerate certain foods, we’ll be happy to accommodate you. So you’re in good hands with us even if you have gluten and/or lactose intolerances or other allergies.
In this workshop, we cook together as a group. Two people per meal take turns as chefs, while the other group members can watch or help out—though they’re also welcome to take a break.
No matter what we do these days—we practice doing everything as SLOWLY as possible (as long as it makes sense)...
You’ll arrive at your own pace sometime in the afternoon, be shown to your room (your cabin), and have some time to get your bearings.
At dinner, we’ll briefly go over the main schedule, and we’ll review it again at breakfast the next morning.
After dinner, you can join a “slowing-down meditation,” but you’re also welcome to just retreat to your room.
If you’d like, there’s a short walk in the woods before breakfast (weather permitting) or a brief meditation.
In the morning, there’s a group session on the topic of “slowing down,” with both theoretical and practical components.
After lunch, I’ll lead a “snail-paced hike,” followed by some free time until it’s time for YOUR one-on-one conversation with me.
In between, mindfulness exercises will be offered, or you can read one of the books provided (or one you’ve brought along).
After dinner, there’s another short group session (with themed games, music, poems…) and, if you’d like, a closing meditation.
At the end of the three days, there’s one more surprise before everyone heads home :-)
