Time for Myself
Yoga Retreat Weekend in Hamburg
Location right on the Alster
We harness the power of meditation and yoga to create deep stillness, greater calm, spaciousness, and openness in our bodies and minds. We connect with our soul and our inner nature, and observe what is happening right now—what within us needs more attention, and what can be let go.
Together, we calm our mind (Monkey Mind), allow peace to settle in, strengthen our life energy, and tap into our power. We activate the chakras (energy channels) with breathing exercises (Pranayama) and flowing Hatha and Vinyasa yoga sequences (Asanas). In doing so, we release tension in the neck and back pain, and mobilize the hips for your well-being.
Combined with Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, relaxation techniques, self-reflection, and journaling, by the end of the retreat you will feel clearer and stronger. You will feel significantly more refreshed.
Additionally, I offer an optional walking meditation along the canal. During breaks, enjoy walks along the Alster and conversations to share insights about your inner process, if you’d like.
I’m happy to accompany you on your journey and support you throughout your process.
Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners.

About Lela Akhavan
Founder of Lela Yoga Hamburg
Yoga Teacher (500 TTC, Yoga Alliance), Meditation Instructor,
Life/Business Coach (DBVC, IOBC), Emotion Coach (emTrace®).
Over 20 years ago, I discovered the benefits of yoga and meditation for myself. In India, Thailand, and Australia, where I lived for two years, I intensified my practice. I learned meditation, Buddhist teachings, and mindfulness techniques. In 2014, I completed my yoga training with the Swiss Ayur Yoga therapist Remo Rittiner. In addition to the healing Eastern method of yoga, I gained in-depth Western knowledge of human anatomy. Further advanced training followed, such as Yogic Mindfulness with the living yoga legend A. G. Mohan, Personal Life Coaching, Anahata Yoga (Yoga Alliance), Tools for Transformation, and Hands On (BDY).
My mission: To guide people toward an authentic and self-determined life in a sustainable way.
Location: Hamburg Art Nouveau
This retreat takes place in a stunning Hamburg Art Nouveau house right on the Alster. We practice in a room with ornate ceiling stucco, a beautiful old wooden floor, and polished glass sliding doors featuring lion heads.
