What is the difference between mindfulness and meditation?

What does a typical day look like?

Mindful breakfast follows, in many houses in silence. The morning often carries the longest practice session: a body scan or a sequence of mindful movement, followed by another seated meditation. Lunch around 12:30 is, depending on the house, in silence or in a calm conversation phase. The early afternoon usually holds an open phase: a break, a walk in the garden or free time to read. From the late afternoon the programme picks up again with a guided walking meditation, a seated meditation and occasionally a group reflection or a short teaching segment. Comfortable trousers, warm socks, a wide pullover and a light jacket for outdoor walking meditation cover most of it. Meditation cushions and blankets can usually be borrowed from the house — ask when booking. People who sit better with their own gear bring it along. A yoga mat is available in many houses, but for smaller addresses it is worth asking. Sturdy footwear for outdoor walking meditation matters, especially in forest and low-mountain regions. A small headlamp is useful, because many houses keep night lighting low.
