Pilates is one of the few movement forms that works almost independently of fitness level. The load comes from controlled movement and the targeted activation of the deep core muscles, not from jumping, sprinting or impact. That is why you can join the same programme as a beginner and as an experienced practitioner. If you are new, the group size of eight to fourteen guests works in your favour: the trainer sees every movement and gives individual corrections. The practice happens on the mat using your body weight, without machines and without prior reformer experience.
