The sauna originated in Finland and is a wooden room that is heated to a high temperature - usually between 55 and 100 degrees - using a sauna heater. Wellness vacation means something different for everyone. For some, wellness is a yoga session on a jetty by a secluded lake, for others it is a whirlpool, solarium, spa or sauna. In the sauna, the temperature is raised to 110 degrees Celsius with the help of a heater. Steaming in the sauna improves health and relaxes the body. Pure health! Taking a sauna not only strengthens the immune system, but also improves the appearance of the skin with regular sauna sessions. To increase the humidity and temperature in the sauna, water is poured onto the red-hot stones of the sauna heater. In some cases, aromatic oils are also added to the infusion to give it a special touch. On a sauna vacation, you decide when and how to prepare your next brew. A sauna session of 8-15 minutes is recommended. This is followed by a 15-minute cool-down phase in which you take a cold shower or cool off in a lake, river or snow.
