Vocal Music Workshops
Singing is one of the most beautiful hobbies on earth. Devotion to music and singing allows you to let go of everything that everyday life throws at you. If you want to train your voice and ear, you can take a course with singing professionals in wonderful places. Singing is so much more. Body awareness, a sense of rhythm, posture and breathing technique. Complex sequences are practiced and singing in a choir or as a soloist enriches the whole day. All course days, including excursions or relaxation at the course location, are part of the absolute relaxation. Anyone who wants to improve their voice or other skills and take the experience of music and beautiful voices with them must book a singing course.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a vocal music retreat?
A vocal music retreat is a getaway dedicated to discovering your voice as a tool for expression and healing. In an inspiring setting, you'll explore group and individual singing, learn breathing techniques and vocal training, and experience how liberating and nurturing singing can be for body and mind. We currently offer 18 vocal music retreats.
Do I need singing experience to join a vocal music retreat?
No, in most cases no prior experience is required. Vocal music retreats welcome complete beginners as well as experienced singers. The focus is less on perfection and more on the joy of using your voice and sharing a communal sound experience. Check the individual retreat description to see what level is expected.
How much does a vocal music retreat cost?
Prices for vocal music retreats vary depending on duration, accommodation, and program. On Retreat Urlaub, prices range from €99 to €4.400, with an average price of around €1.490. Many retreats already include accommodation, meals, and the full workshop program.
What can I expect at a vocal music retreat?
A typical vocal music retreat includes vocal training exercises, breathwork, group singing (e.g., mantras, rounds, overtone singing, or world music), improvisation exercises, and relaxation or mindfulness sessions. The program is often complemented by yoga, meditation, or nature experiences, giving you a holistic retreat experience.
What are the health benefits of singing at a retreat?
Singing has numerous positive health effects: it promotes deep breathing, reduces stress, releases endorphins, and strengthens the immune system. At a retreat, you can fully embrace these benefits because you step away from daily routines and dedicate yourself entirely to your voice in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
How long does a vocal music retreat usually last?
Vocal music retreats come in various formats – from intensive weekend workshops (2–3 days) to week-long or even longer stays. Browse through our 18 offerings and find the retreat that best fits your schedule.
Who is a vocal music retreat especially suitable for?
A vocal music retreat is ideal for anyone who wants to (re-)discover their voice – whether for personal growth, stress relief, or to overcome creative blocks. It's especially beneficial for people who have little room for creative expression in their daily lives, as well as anyone who wants to experience community and connection through music.
What should I bring to a vocal music retreat?
Usually, no special equipment is needed. Comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe freely is ideal. Some retreats recommend bringing a notebook for personal reflections or song lyrics. You'll find more detailed packing information in the individual retreat description. The most important instrument – your voice – is always with you!
