The sauna originated in Finland and is a wooden room that is heated to a high temperature - usually between 55 and 100 degrees - using a sauna heater. Wellness vacation means something different for everyone. For some, wellness is a yoga session on a jetty by a secluded lake, for others it is a whirlpool, solarium, spa or sauna. In the sauna, the temperature is raised to 110 degrees Celsius with the help of a heater. Steaming in the sauna improves health and relaxes the body. Pure health! To increase the humidity and temperature in the sauna, water is poured onto the red-hot stones of the sauna heater. A sauna session of 8-15 minutes is recommended. This is followed by a 15-minute cool-down phase in which you take a cold shower or cool off in a lake, river or snow.
